Hollywood is mourning Tom Petty after the Grammy winner died from cardiac arrest on Monday. He was 66.

Petty’s longtime manager released a statement to People, saying, “On behalf of the Tom Petty family we are devastated to announce the untimely death of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty. He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40p.m. Pt surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends.”

Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Dave Matthews & More Team Up for 'A Concert for Charlottesville'
Music icons came together in Charlottesville, Virginia, on Sunday to try to add some brightness after some dark times.

Dave Matthews Band -- which was founded in the college town -- headlined the Concert for Charlottesville on Sunday at the University of Virginia's Scott Stadium, where some of the biggest names in music turned out to help the town heal in the wake of deadly clashes between white supremacists and counter-protesters in August.

Matthews was joined by a number of A-list artists, including Justin Timberlake, Pharrell Williams, who performed with The Roots, and Ariana Grande.

Some of the biggest names in music are coming together for a good cause.

After the white nationalist demonstrations in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August, where protesters holding flaming torches, weapons and Nazi symbols marched to protest the town's removal of a statue of Confederate Army general Robert E. Lee, many across the country were left feeling empty and confused.

On Wednesday, it was announced that Ariana Grande, Justin Timberlake, Dave Matthews Band and many other artists are hosting A Concert for Charlottesville, an evening of music and unity in response to the recent event, which left one woman, Heather Heyer, dead and 20 injured after a car drove through a crowd of counterprotesters.

Dave Matthews Band Announces A Concert For Charlottesville

In response to the recent events in their hometown of Charlottesville, Va, the Dave Matthews Band will host an evening of music and unity that will be Free for members of the Charlottesville area and University of Virginia communities.

The event will take place on Sunday, September 24, at Uva’s Scott Stadium in Charlottesville. Doors open at 3:30Pm.

“A Concert For Charlottesville” will feature Dave Matthews Band, Pharrell Williams, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Chris Stapleton, The Roots, Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes, Cage the Elephant and special guests.

Tickets will be allocated initially to residents of the city of Charlottesville and the adjacent counties, and also to Uva students, faculty and staff with a valid University ID. Black Keys singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach will roar back June 2 with his second solo album, Waiting On A Song. The project is Auerbach’s first under his own name since 2009’s Keep It Hid. Along with announcing the record Thursday, Auerbach shared a new song, “Shine On Me.”

For Waiting On A Song, his “love letter to Nashville,” Auerbach enlisted heavy-hitters including John Prine, Mark Knopfler, Duane Eddy, Jerry Douglas, Pat McLaughlin, Bobby Wood, and Gene Chrisman.

The iHeartRadio Music Awards nominations are here!

The nominees for the fourth annual iHeartRadio Music Awards were announced on Thursday, dominated by hip-hop artists like Drake, who earned 12 nominations, including Male Artist of the year, and new group The Chainsmokers, who nabbed 11 nods, including the inaugural Best New Pop Artist category.

Of course, our girls Beyonce and Adele also earned several nominations each, while the award show's new category, Best Music Video, is sure to be a face-off between many famous faces, including Zayn Malik, Justin Timberlake, Ariana Grande, Rihanna and Calvin Harris.

Here Are All The Artists Rumored To Play At Coachella 2017

Anticipation for 2017’s major festivals is at an all time high, with Coachella‘s lineup serving as the holy grail of the entire season. We’ve already heard some rumors about the alleged headliners, while DJ Khaled inadvertently spilled the beans on his slot at the festival. Now we have another enticing update to ponder with a list that attempts to predict the entire lineup.

A website called TravelGrom has consistently made predictions about Coachella lineups in the past with a high degree of accuracy compared to the average rumor, and they’ve just offered up their projections for 2017. While the information is just conjecture at this point, TravelGrom predicted last year’s lineup with 64% accuracy. If that figure holds true again, over half of the list will wind up on the official lineup.

The alleged lineup includes a diverse array of styles, with representation from Edm, Rock, Rap, Pop and everything in between.
