Margret Raven (née Margret Hrafnsdottir) was born January 16th, 1970, in Reykjavik, Iceland. At a young age, still a student in junior college, she started her own daily radio program at Reykjavik's most popular radio station, the Wave, where she was the host and producer. At the age of 18, she became the youngest Program Director of a media outlet in Iceland by running the Main Station a radio station with adult/contemporary themes. She also had a daily radio program she hosted and directed with interviews with a wide range of individuals, from Ministers of Government to the singer Bjork. During this time, she was the host and Executive Producer of the most popular MTV-style music television show in Iceland, Sokkabond & Stíl, which featured interviews with Icelandic bands. At the age of 22, she moved to Los Angeles to study film at Columbia College, Hollywood. In 1996, she co-founded Othar Raven Industries and became its president. The Company is involved in various investments and TV and film production through Othar Raven Pictures. Margret is involved in several charities, including serving as a Goodwill Ambassador to Iceland's largest food charity organization Fjolskylduhjalp Íslands, she is also honored to serve on the EQCA Council. She is married to Jon Othar and has a transgender daughter Ragna Rok
