WWE Smackdown was taped in Memphis, Tennessee this week. The show opened with Roman Reigns versus Rusev, only for a Dq finish when Alberto Del Rio interfered. Dean Ambrose then made the save, which established the tag main event, Reigns and Ambrose versus Rusev and Del Rio.
Ryback defeated Erick Rowan, getting his new Goldberg look off to a good start. Braun Strowman made an attack afterwards, but Ryback got away.
Aj Styles defeated The Miz via The Calf Killer submission. Chris Jericho was on commentary and cut a promo post match, challenging Styles to a match next week. The babyface of course accepted, meaning that next week’s Smackdown is not to be a missed. Styles versus Jericho 2 should be excellent.

Alicia Fox and Eva Marie get into a very tense argument on tonight's Total Divas. In this clip from the episode, Paige tells the Divas that she and Eva Marie have made amends. Eva Marie didn't leave on good terms with some of the Divas, so now that she's back she wants to make things right with everyone. Roman Reigns arrived to open the show and cut a defiant promo calling out Brock Lesnar following his actions last week. Reigns didn’t get Lesnar, but did get Chris Jericho, who was set to host Lesnar on a special edition of the Highlight Reel. Jericho invited Reigns to the show too, but then the League of Nations arrived. They took turns in cutting promos running down Jericho and Reigns, with Rusev in particular shining on the mic. Reigns challenged Rusev to a match. He accepted, but Jericho decided to counteract the League of Nations by electing himself special referee.
