Chicago – The “Terminator” series is not one of the great modern movie franchises. The films have mainly served as ideal vehicles for the limited acting range of Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose muscular build and Austrian accent were perfect for the role of a formidable, oft-mute cyborg. A “Terminator” picture without him is like an “Alien” picture without Sigourney Weaver. The best entries of both franchises were their second installments directed by James Cameron. “Terminator 2: Judgment Day”’s tireless invention and energy were a real kick, and the filmmakers came up with some unforgettable images, such as the shape-shifting T-1000.
Blu-Ray Rating: 2.5/5.0
“Terminator Salvation,” the fourth (and hopefully final) entry in the series, attempts to reboot the stale franchise by setting its story in a post-Judgment Day wasteland, where much of humanity has been destroyed by their machines. This supposedly fresh approach to the material is derivative of every post-apocalyptic thriller in recent memory. »

Jadagrace Berry is just 9 and already savvy enough to thank her agent for helping her land her debut role as Star in Terminator Salvation, though the agent only opened the door for her. Jadagrace and her mother did the rest. The result was a chance to work alongside Christian Bale and Anton Yelchin in the recent addition to the blockbuster Terminator franchise. In an exclusive interview she talks about the film, working alongside the stars and her plans for the future. And it's clear, this little girl knows exactly where she wants to go.

Previous Terminator films saw killer robots travel back in time to obliterate any human threat to a grim future ruled by machines.
In Terminator Salvation, out on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK today (Monday, November 23), we finally see that nightmarish future.
This fourth adventure in the franchise is an action-packed, post-apocalyptic war film set in 2018, in the wastelands that remain after supercomputer Skynet becomes self-aware and decides to reduce civilisation to cinders in a nuclear strike known as Judgment Day.
Terminator Salvation is both a prequel and a sequel, showing the future events prior to the time-travel missions that took place in the previous movies. So how does it shape up on Blu-ray?
Resistance fighter John Connor (Christian Bale, with a rasping voice) is seen by some survivors as a saviour and by others as a false prophet. He uncovers a research facility detailing plans to create an advanced »

Terminator Salvation reviewby Eric Sloss, Writer “Terminator Salvation” started well with the famous pulsating and pounding music. Then the movie had to begin. If this movie isn’t the biggest disappointment of the summer, then something else has to be really bad to take its place. The film opens on death row in California in 2003. Convicted murderer Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) has decided to donate his body to science. A mysterious doctor (Helena Bonham Carter) suffering from terminal cancer says to him that this sacrifice will help humanity in the future. The movie jumps to 2018. Judgment Day has happened. Machines and humans are fighting it out for supremacy of the planet. The ominous Skynet is backing the machines and did the first strike. Like with many futuristic movies, the future isn’t too bright. The landscape is barren and looks like an everlasting wasteland. We finally see John Connor (Christian Bale). At present time, »

Warner Bros. Pictures' Terminator Salvation hits theaters everywhere tonight at midnight and we've got two opposing reviews, one from yours truly and the other from David Harley. "Being a rabid fan that grew up on the franchise created by James Cameron, the idea of McG getting behind the camera for this sequel was slightly nauseating, and yet, by some miracle, the fourth film in the franchise is (barely) passable." For the rest of my review, click the title above, or read on to see what David has to say about the fourth film in the franchise. Don't forget to write your own review and tell all of B-d what you thought. Directed by McG, the film stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Jadagrace and Helena Bonham Carter. »

The film itself might lack a certain something (coherence, for example), but the opening credits of Terminator Salvation offer a lot of food for thought, especially if you like to think about names. Which I do!
I was mildly surprised by the very title of the movie, which I had assumed was Terminator: Salvation, with a colon. That's how sequels are usually styled (e.g., Terminator 2: Judgment Day), but this one appears onscreen -- twice -- as simply Terminator Salvation. What does that mean? Does the story tell of how the Terminators were saved? (Spoiler: no.) Is the film about the salvation of the Terminator franchise? (Certainly not.) The only way the title would make sense is if it had the colon. Terminator: Salvation would mean that it's an entry in the Terminator series of movies, and that this entry is called Salvation. I'm sorry, but these things are important. »

Judgment Day has come and gone, leveling modern civilization. That’s right, folks, it’s raining “Terminator Salvation” promos. With just a week to go before the movie opens, Warner Bros. is really flooding the net with goodies. This time it’s two more behind-the-scenes video clips from the movie, showing quite a bit, actually. One is about four minutes long, and the other is even longer at around seven minutes. You actually see a lot of plot, and it’s very cool to see the behind-the-scenes stuff without a lot of talking heads telling you what’s going on. I’m dying to see this one, so I actually didn’t watch the longer clip for fear of spoiling something. I already know way too much about the movie going in as is, I want to save at least some surprises for the theater experience. “Terminator Salvation” stars, Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Moon Bloodgood, Helena Bonham Carter, Anton Yelchin, »

Two more quick TV spots for McG’s “Terminator Salvation”, one featuring John Connor heading off to do some ass kicking, but not before uttering the famous line, “I’ll be Back”. The other is more Moon Bloodgood-Sam Worthington centric. I still have no idea what they’re trying to do with Worthington’s cyborg Marcus character. Check them both out below. After Skynet has destroyed much of humanity in a nuclear holocaust, a group of survivors led by John Connor (Bale) struggles to keep the machines from finishing the job. Starring Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Jane Alexander, Helena Bonham Carter, and Jadagrace. McG directs. Last week, Screen Rant posted about two new TV spots for Terminator Salvation that were geared towards showing off the finished special effects of the film. Today, we have two new spots which also show off some of the cool action (obviously) but also reveal some more character stuff.
Terminator Salvation is directed directed by McG and stars Christian Bale, Sam Worthington, Anton Yelchin, Moon Bloodgood, Bryce Dallas Howard, Common, Helena Bonham Carter and Jadagrace.
Watch and enjoy (and don’t forget, you can click the HD button to watch them in a nicer format):
The first one is a little strange at the end as they speed up Christian Bale’s voice to fit it into the 30-second spot but it features John Connor saying the famous Terminator quote “I’ll be back” which is cool. The second one reveals a very interesting (and spoilerish if it weren »

A few brand new TV spots for Terminator Salvation have made their way online and they are awesome!
We haven’t seen nearly as much marketing for this movie as we have for some of its competitors in the month of May – specifically X-Men Origins: Wolverine and Star Trek but I’m sure they are about to gear up for the release as the summer season kicks off this Friday.
The teasers show off the finished special effects of the movie and emphasize the post-apocalyptic backdrop of the story. There’s a ton of new footage in these short trailers so check these two out:
Note the PG-13 rating at the end of the videos. It’s disappointing but understandable on Warner Bros. part.
I love the aesthetic design of the world presented in the trailers so far. I imagine it’s not too far off from what we may »
