Carl Barc began producing music in New York City after touring with
Mojo/Universal rock band Pilfers since the millennium. His love of
production led to a composition partnership with
Pawel Sek, and The Distillery was born.
Alongside composing to sell cars (GM, Audi, Hyundai), food (McD's, KFC), fashion (Antonio Melani, Old Navy), technology (Sirius, AOL) and much more, The Distillery also licenses music to TV shows, trailers, and video games.
As of fall 2008, recent projects include composing for PBS' Emmy-Winning Reality Series Carrier (2008), trailer licenses including Paramount's Beowulf (2007) movie and video game, and a follow-up to the sync-successful global mash-up "Hybrid" record just about in the can.
Carl also works as a freelance engineer, and was awarded a Grammy Certificate in 2007 for his work on Flight of the Conchords' "The Distant Future" EP. With a passion for live music, he is a recording engineer with Live Nation Studios multi-tracking shows for DVD release and a variety of streaming media.
