People Explains: Couple Wins Suit After Adopted Son Is Reclaimed by Birth Parents and Murdered by Birth Father
Last week, an Iowa couple was awarded $3.25 million in a malpractice lawsuit against their former attorney after the baby boy they were in the process of adopting was reclaimed by his biological parents in 2014 — and then murdered by one of them five weeks later.

The couple argued the lawyer acted negligently in how he handled the adoption, a characterization his attorney disputes.

“Obviously our child and us weren’t a priority to . We are just happy he was found negligent,” adoptive mom Rachel McFarland tells People. That was what our goal was. We will not see any money from this.

This upcoming film marks the return of the Axeman at Cutter’s Creek (review), first seen in the 2014 original.

I think this poster more accurately conveys the tone of the film. While the previous artwork was cool, it felt a little wooden and dry. This film is dark and sick.

'Big Brother 19': Second Evictee Talks Trying to Play the Game Like a Former Winner

On Big Brother, a lot of times new houseguests try to emulate the games of past players.

For the latest evictee in season 19, Jillian Parker, trying to play like former winner Rachel Reilly just wasn't in the cards.

"I was planning on playing like Rachel, but since I was always on the block, I was never comfortable enough to truly express how I feel," Jillian tells The Hollywood Reporter.

One player who was able to express how she felt was Jillian's block buddy, Christmas Abbott. By calling out her enemies, Cody Nickson and Jessica Graf, Christmas was able...

'Price Is Right' Contestant Loses It After Breaking Plinko Record -- Watch!
The Price Is Right had an extra exciting episode on Thursday, when one lucky contestant shattered the Plinko record -- though we're pretty sure he would've been thrilled to just have been on the show.

Contestant Ryan could not contain his excitement when host Drew Carey invited him up onstage, as he ran through the aisles cheering and high-fiving the crowd.

Ryan then went crazy when he found out he'd be playing the Plinko game, in which contestants drop a chip down a gigantic pinball board to land on a winning sum. "Oh my God!" he yelled when he dropped his first chip on the top amount, $10,000, before landing on $1,000, $10,000, $500, and another $10,000 on his last attempt -- which is when he really lost it.

"Ryan! Ryan!" the crowd cheered as he ran around the stage in shock, hugging the model

Secrets and Lies Season 2 Episode 6 Review: The Parent

What the hell is going on?

The short answer is Everything.

There is so much happening on Secrets and Lies Season 2 Episode 6, which is reflective of how the entire season has been so far. Dare I say, yet again, that there is almost too much going on. We don't need all of these side stories and plots! We really don't!

It's a lot to process, a lot to remember, and a lot to keep up with.

I don't even feel right typing this, but I actually liked Cornell the majority of the episode. In fact, she was kind of awesome, and I felt bad for her too. Well, up until she got all snippy and unnecessarily threatening in the end.

Juliette Lewis is amazing! I know I don't hide the fact that Cornell irritates my entire soul, but Juliette Lewis does such a fantastic job playing her.

Was I a

Fall TV’s Top 5 New Shows

Rachel Bellwoar on Fall TV’s top five new shows…

Due to how pilots are spaced out this fall, figuring out to the right time to launch a top five list gets complicated. Wait too long and you fall behind on shows that have started airing as early as August. Submit too early and newcomers like this week’s Chance on Hulu and Dirk Gently on BBC America, don’t get a, well, chance. Then there’s personal handicaps, like lack of a Netflix subscription, that force any commentary on shows like Luke Cage to be left to a later date.

So. what is this list saying? It’s saying, out of an extensive pool of new network, basic cable, and Amazon titles, these five are the best and most worthy of your commitment this season. As a title, it’s a mouthful, but if you’ve seen how large

John Ostrander’s Picking Favorites

  • Comicmix
Last weekend I was at the Geek’d Con in Rockford, Illinois. It was a small first time con and it had some things to work out, but over all it went okay.

I really enjoyed the fans but, for me, the big moment was when my niece, Julie Adams, showed up with her husband Rob and their three kids, Rachel, Hailey, and Ryan. They even sat in on the Q&A panel I did on Saturday and, bless ‘em, asked some questions themselves. And, as is typical with kids and especially kids who are relatives, a question or two were tough to answer.

The big one I was asked (by Hailey, as I recall) was, “Which of your characters is your favorite?” Deceptively simple, that question. “That’s like asking a parent which is their favorite child,” I replied, glancing at Julie and Rob. Both grimaced.

I’m not

The Last Ship Boss Breaks Down Finale's Big Death and [Spoiler]'s Exit, Teases Season 4 Time Jump

Yes, the team was able to surgically strike at the individual regional leaders, though Roberta Price proved to be a slippery one, sneaking away to collaborate with mastermind Allison Shaw on one last attack on the James.
