‘The 100’ Boss Talks Latest Casualty, That Flashback Twist

‘The 100’ Boss Talks Latest Casualty, That Flashback Twist
Spoilers follow: Do not read on unless you’ve seen “The 100” Season 3, Episode 7, titled “Thirteen.”

Nothing gold can stay in the world of “The 100,” and the show never hesitates to remind us of the dangers of post-apocalyptic Earth by killing characters with gleeful abandon. This week’s casualty was Grounder Commander Lexa (Alycia Debnam-Carey), who inadvertently ended up dead at the hands of her second-in-command Titus (Neil Sandilands), after he attempted to kill her lover, Clarke (Eliza Taylor).

The hour also revealed that the Artificial Intelligence program known as Alie was not only responsible for the nuclear apocalypse that destroyed the world and necessitated the Ark’s sojourn in space, but that the second iteration of the program formed the foundation of the Grounders’ religion, with Alie creator Becca (Erica Cerra) becoming the first Commander to the nuclear survivors left on Earth. The AI has subsequently been passed

The 100: Season Two Ratings

Last season, The 100 was one of the few new CW shows to be renewed. Will it continue to do well in the ratings? Will it be cancelled or renewed for a third season? Stay tuned!

The 100 follows a group of young people who are sent back to Earth nearly 100 years after a nuclear Armageddon destroyed civilization. The cast includes Eliza Taylor, Bobby Morley, Marie Avgeropoulos, Thomas McDonell, Christopher Larkin, Devon Bostick, Paige Turco, Henry Ian Cusick, Isaiah Washington, Eli Goree, Lindsey Morgan, and Ricky Whittle.

The ratings are typically the best indication of a show's likelihood of staying on the air. The higher the ratings (particularly the 18-49 demo), the better the chances for survival. This chart will be updated as new ratings data becomes available -- usually the next day, around 11:30am Est/8:30am Pst. Refresh to see the latest. (more…)

The 100 Review: “Remember Me” (Season 2, Episode 9)

There’s a lot of places that The 100 could have taken the story after killing off Finn (Thomas McDonell) in the mid-season finale last month (besides scoring a third season). Even after all this time, it’s still a little hard to believe that the writers actually wrote one of the main characters off of the show – but frankly, it was about time. Finn started off as a solid character but over time moved further and further into the gratuitous zone until he finally just lost it a few episodes back.

His romantic interest turned unhealthy obsession with Clarke (Eliza Taylor) pushed him over the deep end and put everyone he cared about in jeopardy. As if they didn’t have enough outside threats, having to worry about one of their own lost its appeal rather quickly. Even though losing him is clearly going to have a lasting impact

'The 100' Boss Explains Mid-Season Finale’s Heartbreaking Death

'The 100' Boss Explains Mid-Season Finale’s Heartbreaking Death
[Warning: Spoilers ahead from Wednesday's winter finale of The 100.]

Did that just happen?

The 100 said goodbye to one of its main characters in Wednesday’s heartwrenching winter finale – and boy, was it emotional.

For much of the episode, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and Co. attempted to find a way to spare Finn (Thomas McDonell), who was wanted for killing more than a dozen Grounders. Clarke never found a feasible Plan B. Instead of letting the Grounders have their way with Finn, she was the one who made the fatal cut –killing him with one stab of the knife in the abdomen.

Pics: TV Villains Who Wouldn't Stay Dead!

“We were trying to figure out the most emotionally impactful way to do it,” The 100 executive producer Jason Rothenberg told ETonline. “Part of the reason that it hit so hard and worked so well was because it happens in the same episode where we do flashbacks that tell you how much of a great guy [Finn] is.”

The CW’s The 100 Fog of War TV Show Review. The 100: Season 2, Episode 6: ‘Fog of War,’ hedged its bets, with a literal spin on its title, at one point; but still managed to get enough figurative mileage off the phrase. First & foremost, Finn (Thomas McDonell), was [...]

The 100 Review: “Human Trials” (Season 2, Episode 5)

The 100 Review: “Human Trials” (Season 2, Episode 5) 1 of 5

Transformers

Lorem ipsum 1 of 5

The 100 is one of those shows that just keeps getting better. Another episode in the books, and the writers haven’t slowed down at all. The characters are still evolving, the story is still unfolding, and, with or without adult interference, Clarke (Eliza Taylor) and her crew are still doing whatever needs to be done.

Most of the main characters made it through season one, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Finn (Thomas McDonell) became collateral damage in season two. His voracious appetite for revenge against anyone who he imagines up being involved in whatever happened to Clarke definitely seems to be undoing any sense of logic he may have possessed. Losing Clarke was the breaking point for his character. With the exception of his showboat behavior in the pilot, Finn has been

'The 100' Sneak Peek: Has Finn Finally Hit a Breaking Point?

'The 100' Sneak Peek: Has Finn Finally Hit a Breaking Point?
Things aren't getting any better on The 100.

The CW's hair-raising post-apocalyptic drama isn’t showing any signs of slowing down in its sophomore run, and in ETonline's first look at tonight's episode, Finn (Thomas McDonell) is starting to show signs of becoming a killing machine. Yikes!

News: You'll Never Guess Who's Teaming Up on 'The 100'!

In the clip, he and Murphy (Richard Harmon) stake out a Grounders base camp where Finn believes Clarke is still being held and in need of rescuing – a dangerous assumption considering he’s 100 percent wrong. When Murphy, of all people, suggests that Finn may not be thinking straight -- "These people don’t look like warriors!" -- and alludes to the possibility that Clarke may be dead, Finn has an extremely violent reaction to even the thought of his friend perishing.

A plan is set. A goal is in mind. Nothing is going

The 100 Review: “Reapercussions” (Season 2, Episode 3)

It was life or death on tonight’s episode of The 100, but then again, when is it not?

Clarke (Eliza Taylor) continued to follow her instincts, even though they go against popular opinion, and she’s uncovered a rather unfriendly aspect of the Mountain Men. It isn’t surprising that Wallace (Raymond J. Barry) is keeping a lot of the more delicate information to himself. The fact that there is ongoing scientific research being conducted inside the secure mountain base lends itself to the story that the writers are telling. As the show begins to examine more of the evolutionary pitfalls of the group of people housed within Mount Whethers, it only makes sense that the revelation of just how far these people will go to survive will become increasingly evident.

The concept of a group of people that failed to meet the demands of evolution and have been

The 100 season 2 episode 2 review: Inclement Weather

Clarke remains trapped in a dystopian underground society in this week's entertainingly chaotic episode of The 100...

This review contains spoilers.

2.2 Inclement Weather

There are currently four camps on The 100 – Mount Weather, the grounders, the hundred/adults and, now, wherever the heck Jaha has landed himself. While season one of the show was effective in its own Lord Of The Flies kind of way, pushing the characters together in a pressure cooker and watching them break and corrupt each other, this season has benefitted hugely from shaking things up.

Clarke’s separation from the group, for example, could have easily been about finding her way back to Finn and Bellamy, and in a way it is, but it’s also about her own immutable distrust and curiosity and a determination to get out of Mount Weather and help her friends. She’s still their leader, even if she’s
