2 July 2014 8:49 AM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

It looks like "The Hunger Games" pals Woody Harrelson and Liam Hemsworth are eager to spend their time away from the Ya franchise together as well. Future bromance? We'll see, but this project does sound interesting. The pair will star in the revenge western "By Way Of Helena." Kieran Darcy-Smith ("Wish You Were Here") will direct this one that will find Hemsworth playing "David, an 1880s Texas Ranger sent to an isolated frontier town to investigate a series of mysterious murders. There he squares off against Harrelson as a local preacher named Abraham who holds the townsfolk in a fearful grip." Matt Cook ("Triple Nine") penned the Black List script with shooting starting in September. [Deadline] Up and comer David Dastmalchian ("The Dark Knight," "Prisoners") has bagged a role in "Ant-Man." No word yet on his part in the former Edgar Wright project, that's now moving ahead with Peyton Reed »

Pierce Brosnan Wants To Join The Expendables

1 July 2014 9:13 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The marketing for The Expendables 3 may hint that this will be the geriatric action franchise’s “Last Ride,” but if the movie manages to make as much money as the last two installments, I wouldn’t rule out the possibility of a fourth outing. So, once the likes of Rambo, the Terminator, John McClane, Blade, He-Man, Han Solo, George Wallace, Zorro, and a host of other action movie icons have shared the screen, how do you go bigger for another sequel? Why, you add James Bond, of course!

In a recent interview with Coming Soon, Pierce Brosnan – who played the iconic super spy four times from 1995 to 2002 – revealed that he would love to hop on board the Expendables franchise, and has even had casual talks with producer Avi Lerner about it:

Tom Jolliffe on what to expect from The Expendables 3

Two films into the Expendables franchise, fans eagerly await the arrival of the third instalment. Thus far we have come to expect certain things. Firstly of course, lots of stuff gets blown up. That’s a given considering the cast which is a group of 80’s and 90’s action Gods. Then there’s the referential humour, that in the second film in particular was almost non-stop. Did the first two films entertain? For many yes. Did they fully deliver on the promise? Not really. The balance has never quite been right. The scripts always felt a bit jumpy and in many cases some key cast members felt wasted (namely Mr Van Damme in number 2).

Now, expectation and the end result can often be two very different beasts. Many felt upon the first announcement of the original Expendables film that this »

Liam Hemsworth popped up on Friday in Portofino, Italy, where he relaxed shirtless on a yacht, took a stroll, and refreshed himself with a sip of a tiny refreshment. The vacation comes at the tail end of Liam's insanely busy schedule surrounding The Hunger Games: Mockingjay; not only did the filming take the cast from Paris to their final stop in Berlin, but they also made a quick promotional pit stop at Cannes. Now that the filming is officially done, Liam seems to be taking a much-deserved break. Laff 2014: Red Carpet Interviews with Bruce Dern, Oliver Platt and Matt Shakman for ‘Cut Bank’

25 June 2014 6:43 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

It may be called the coldest spot in the nation, but “Cut Bank” serves as a setting for a good thriller mystery movie.

Director Matt Shakman channeled certain aspects of humor and mystery of “Fargo” in this film as a sheriff investigates a supposed murder in this small town in Montana. The movie introduced memorable quirky characters with a well-rounded cast that included Liam Hemsworth, Teresa Palmer, Billy Bob Thornton, John Malkovich, Bruce Dern, Oliver Platt and Michael Stuhlbarg.

Latino-Review caught up with actors Bruce Dern and Oliver Platt on the red carpet before the premiere at the Los Angeles Film Festival last week. In addition, we also talked with Shakman on the red carpet.
