Band Of Robbers wraps shoot

Principal photography has concluded on the comedic thriller that reimagines Mark Twain’s Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer as grown men.

Kyle Gallner (pictured at left) and Adam Nee (pictured at right) star with Matthew Gray Gubler, Hannibal Buress, Melissa Benoist, Eric Christian, Daniel Edward Mora and Stephen Lang.

Brothers Adam Nee and Aaron Nee directed Band Of Robbers. Their previous film The Last Romantic premiered at SXSW and IFC distributed in the Us.

Rounding out the cast are Johnny Pemberton, Beth Grant, Lee Garlington, Maria Blasucci, Cooper Huckabee and Creed Bratton.

John Will produces for Torn Sky Entertainment with Rick Rosenthal for Whitewater Films alongside Matt Ratner and Arun Kumar.

Nick Morton, Bert Kern, Tims Johnson, John and Margo Miller, Matthew Gray Gubler and Noah Lang are the executive producers. »

Disney Xd Orders Jon Heder Animated Series ‘Pickle & Peanut’

Disney Xd has ordered “Pickle & Peanut,” an animated buddy comedy featuring Jon Heder and Johnny Pemberton.

Series hails from “Fish Hooks” creator Noah Z. Jones and developed by Joel Trussell. Show from Disney Television Animation will use a mix of 2-D animation and live-action clips to the ll the story of an emotional pickle, voiced by Heder, and a freewheeling peanut (Pemberton).

“We see very few pitches that are as funny and original as ‘Pickle & Peanut,’ ” said Eric Coleman, Disney Television Animation’s senior VP of original series. “We instantly fell in love with these characters, and Noah and Joel have built a world with a visual style and sensibility unlike anything on TV.”

“Pickle & Peanut” is slated for a fall 2015 premiere.

Parker Posey Joins Comedy Central’s ‘Crazy House’

Parker Posey has agreed to guest star in “Crazy House,” a Comedy Central pilot set inside an insane asylum.

Nick Turner and Lee Rubenstein created the show about two friends who, after accidentally sending their landlord into a coma, successfully plead insanity and are sentenced to an asylum.

Posey will play Dr. Krimmens, the head of the mental hospital. Should the show get picked up, her character could become a regular.

Turner and Rubenstein wrote and will executive produce the series whose pilot starts production on Monday. Jeff Tomsic is directing the episode and serves as the series’ show runner.

Whitmer Thomas was also recently cast as a co-lead opposite Turner, a stand-up comic who is also a regular on VH1′s “Best Week Ever.” Rubenstein contributes to “Saturday Night Live’s” “Weekend Update.”
