- Attended York University in Toronto, Ontario, between 1999 and 2002, where he majored in English Literature in the Bachelor of Arts program. Between 2005 and 2008, he attended Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, where he studied Media Arts.
- Has an older brother, James, born in 1973.
- Formed his own independent production company in 2005 called Moonlit Road Entertainment.
- Wrote, produced, and co-directed the short film Title Match, which was nominated for 4 Media Arts Awards in 2008. The nominations were for Best Editing, Best Sound, Best Production Management and People's Choice.
- Produced the action short film Duel. An original cut (which premiered in 2007) was panned by Sheridan College professors for its grim subject matter and violence, who claimed the film would never find an audience amongst independent moviegoers. Less than a year later, the film became an official selection at two prominent 2008 film festivals in Canada and the United States: the Mississauga Independent Film Festival and the Queens International Film Festival, and garnered several glowing reviews.
- Winner of the 2009 Speak Up! Film Festival SFX Award.
- Was a finalist in the Emerging Media Arts category at the 2009 Marty Awards in Mississauga, Ontario (October 2009).
- Was a winner in the Emerging Media Arts category at the 2010 Marty Awards in Mississauga, Ontario (June 2010).
- Was a finalist in the Emerging Literary Arts category at the 2011 Marty Awards in Mississauga, Ontario (May 2011).
- Has a son, Brayden, who was born on November 13, 2012.
- Was a finalist in the Established Media Arts category at the 2013 Marty Awards in Mississauga, Ontario (May 2013).
- Was the winning of the 2013 Burlington's Best Award for Arts Person of the Year in Burlington, Ontario (May 2013).
- Completed writing the script for the upcoming adaptation of Stephen King's short story Suffer the Little Children. (May 2010)
- Has obtained the rights from Stephen King to write and produce an independent short film based on "Suffer the Little Children", a short story that appears in his Nightmares & Dreamscapes collection. Pre-production is to begin during the Summer of 2010. (March 2010)
- Serving as Locations Manager for the new short film Odometer, shooting in Toronto and Oakville, Ontario. (June 2008)
- Working as a Producer's Assistant, under the wing of AMAL producer Steven Bray, owner of Poor Man's Productions Ltd. (January 2008)
- Filming the short "The Soul Collector", a science fiction drama he wrote and produced under his production company, Moonlit Road Entertainment. (October 2008)
- Second son, Cameron, was born on December 12th, 2015.
