Ava Leigh Stewart established herself on the Hollywood Radar after directing, producing, and writing an award winning short film called Keepers of the Gate on location in London, England. After film school in London, she founded Art West Film to pursue a diverse range of projects in film, television, and new media. She was a production designer for Philippe Caland's film, Tripping Tommy, and directed the award winning feature film, South of Southern. She is the author of seven books and also writes screenplays.
Her career began at CNN - climbing the ranks of news production. She started on the production design team for CNN, CNNI, CNN Espanol, CNNSI, and Headline News responsible for sets in Atlanta, Washington D.C., New York, London, and Los Angeles. She was tapped to manage the design for CNN.com in 2001, specializing in integrating new media between television and the web. She has worked for major studios and independent production companies in all areas of development, production, and new media.
