Mustafa developed his stage acting skills at faculty of Fine Arts, and by participating in theater workshops led by international artists such as Ariane Mnouchkine, the founder and director of theater du soleil, Corinne Jaber, director of the Green Way theater and several others in Kabul. Mustafa realized his life long dream when he was hired as an Afghan casting associate during the pre-production of the Kite Runner movie in Kabul. He was not only a professional assistant to the casting director Kate Dowd; but he was a skillful aide to the art, wardrobe and props departments as well. His broad skills and professionalism helped him to be rehired as producer assistant and Afghan culture adviser during the filming in China, while he was a cast member in the movie.
Mustafa wanted to illuminate the injustices of the society through theater and he played on several stage projects such as, I am Not The Second Gender, Fear, a tragic disaster, and the Dari translated version of William Shakespeare's play, Love's Labour's Lost directed by Corinne Jaber in Kabul.
Mustafa moved to the United States in 2008, settling down in Los Angeles, California to pursue his 'American Dream' as an actor in Hollywood. Being a multilingual helped Mustafa Haidari to be hired as a professional camera and voice actor in several film and television projects. He also lent his voice for the Dari version of Rosetta Stone. Besides acting and voice skills, Mustafa is a computer savvy, web designer/developer, and photographer.
