Mini Bio (1)
Genevieve was born to a single-mother in NYC and her idealizations were to always work within a creative field. From the age of five years old she was singing and performing for her family and by the age of 17 had written several short scripts, had preformed in high school musicals, and was a frequent local at underground punk shows throughout the NYC. During her search for higher education her dream was to attend Tisch, however the program she entered afforded only a few students to be chosen and she was wait listed. Quickly trying to recover from such a blow she decided to stay local and accept admission in Long Island University: C. W. Post Campus, where she dove into a film curriculum. Shortly after beginning college and living on campus 9/11 occurred and she soon decided living on Long Island wasn't something she wanted, the school didn't seem to hold the type of environment for a budding auteur. A brief hiatus had her leave C. W. Post and after a semester off Genevieve returned to college transferring to Long Island University: Brooklyn Campus. Though the location was more home than the higher income of the suburb of Brookville, Long Island the problem at hand was the lack of courses available at this campus. In the winter of 2002, she transferred, yet again, and found herself starting 2003 at Temple University, where she finally found her niche. Graduating in 2006 and with two completed short films, two short screenplays, and a feature length screenplay under her belt she headed back to NYC. From 2006 - 2007 Genevieve slaved working internships and non-paying Production Assistant gigs till landing her first feature length PA gig and then following that a full-time job as Assistant to Production Office Coordinator at Harrington Talents. Sadly, falling on hard times after leaving Harrington Talents her path veered and while, she isn't working within the field, though constantly seeking opportunities, she hasn't stopped writing and is hoping that one of her screenplays will eventually get picked up.
