The singer - whose debut album Tribute topped the charts in October - will be joined by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra for a special performance.
Russell Watson has also been confirmed to sing at the event on December 15.
The ten nominees in line for this year's award include Wimbledon champion Andy Murray, sailing pro Ben Ainslie, rugby star Leigh Halfpenny and athlete Mo Farah.
Cricket's Ian Bell, cycling champion Chris Froome, wheelchair athletics' Hannah Cockroft, jockey AP McCoy, athlete Christine Ohuruogu and golf pro Justin Rose complete the lineup.
The public will vote for the winner - via phone or online - during the show, which will be broadcast live on BBC One.

Bono was left in a panic when he ran out of cigarettes at a celebrity party he was hosting.
