Fall is just around the corner. As temperatures cool down, The Chew's hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz travel across the country to bring audiences a sneak peek of ABC's fall primetime lineup, pairing delicious recipes with their favorite new shows. "I had jumbo prawns with Romesco sauce," he says. "I had a meringue torte with pistachios. An egg and chorizo torta with avocado and cilantro, and a smoked meat sandwich and poutine (French fries topped with gravy and cheese curds), and a Montreal bagel with cream cheese, which is a little thinner and more dense than a New York bagel. And then I had a casserole of beef and roasted eggplant and Greek yogurt and tomato sauce and salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, radishes and mint. And then baklava ice cream. Remember those "fun specials" that the networks sometimes air to get viewers excited about the new fall season? Well, ABC is airing one on Sunday, September 2nd, and are using the folks their their struggling daytime series, The Chew, to host it.
