London — U.K. commercial broadcaster ITV has commissioned season four of period drama “Mr Selfridge,” starring “Entourage” star Jeremy Piven. The third season has its U.S. premiere on March 29 on PBS’ “Masterpiece.”

In season four, Piven will reprise his role as the colorful but troubled Harry Selfridge, and Katherine Kelly, from U.K. soap “Coronation Street,” is set to return as the socialite Lady Mae Loxley. The series will also feature a major new character played by “Line of Duty’s” Sacha Dhawan and two new guest roles for newcomers Lottie Tolhurst and Mimi Ndiweni.

Series regulars Tom Goodman-Hill, Ron Cook, Amanda Abbington, Amy Beth Hayes, Trystan Gravelle, Sacha Parkinson and Samuel West return.

Mr Selfridge to return for fourth series on ITV in 2016

Mr Selfridge has been recommissioned for a fourth series by ITV.

The period drama - which stars Jeremy Piven as the eponymous Harry Selfridge - will air ten new episodes in 2016.

The broadcaster has confirmed that Piven and Katherine Kelly will return to the show, alongside series regulars Tom Goodman-Hill, Ron Cook, Amanda Abbington, Amy Beth Hayes, Trystan Gravelle, Sacha Parkinson and Samuel West.

Line of Duty actor Sacha Dhawan will join the cast for the new series playing a major new character, while newcomers Lottie Tolhurst and Mimi Ndiweni have been cast in guest roles.

ITV's Director of Drama, Steve November, said: "We're delighted to commission a fourth series of Mr Selfridge.

"It's so pleasing to see the audience take the characters and storylines into their hearts. We're looking forward to seeing Jeremy reprise his role as the visionary yet deeply troubled Harry alongside simply stunning production values."

Mr Selfridge: Kitty discovers the truth about her attack in new preview

ITV has released a new preview of Mr Selfridge's next episode.

The period drama continues this weekend as Harry and Nancy take Kitty to the hospital following her attack outside the store.

However, Kitty is horrified to discover that her husband Frank was accidentally complicit in her attack, as he served her attackers at the pub out of hours.

Jeremy Piven leads the cast of the drama as Harry Selfridge, with Amy Beth Hayes, Aisling Loftus and Trystan Gravelle also starring.

The most recent episode of Mr Selfridge's third series added around 700,000 viewers to hit 3.88 million over the weekend.

Mr Selfridge continues on Sunday (February 15) at 9pm on ITV. »
