World War II Japanese American internee and member of the Fair Play Committe who fought the draft of fellow internees.
He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Ito; his second wife, Itsuko Emi of San Gabriel, California; another daughter, Eileen Tabuchi; a stepdaughter, Rie Nishikawa; a sister, Kaoru Sugita; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was the last surviving leader of the Heart Mountain Committee.
