21 June 2017 12:01 PM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

A movie adaptation of ride-sharing tech giant Uber seems inevitable after CEO Travis Kalanick stepped down Tuesday. Scroll through for our dream cast and a few choices for lead role of Kalanick. Travis Kalanick played by Dave Franco We think the younger Franco brother can definitely tackle the role of executive asshole. Travis Kalanick played by Adam Devine We think the “Workaholics” and “Pitch Perfect” star could bring a good amount of “bro” to the role. Travis Kalanick played by Jeremy Piven Our next possibility for the ex-ceo is Piven. This seems like a good fit after “Entourage.” »

Rebel Wilson Wins Defamation Case Over Articles Claiming She Lied About Her Age: 'I Had to Stand Up to a Bully'

15 June 2017 11:00 AM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Rebel Wilson was victorious in court on Thursday, winning a defamation trial against a magazine publisher over articles claiming that she lied about her age and upbringing in Australia.

The Victoria state Supreme Court jury, composed of six women, ruled against Bauer Media -- who denied the articles were defamatory -- after deliberating for two days. In court, the Pitch Perfect star claimed that articles published by Bauer Media in 2015 portrayed her as a serial liar, and that it cost her jobs. Wilson spoke out about her big win on Instagram.

"Just crushed my defamation case in Australia x thank you to all my family, friends and supporters!" she wrote alongside a picture of herself with her legal team. "I had to take a stand. I had to stand up to a bully, a media organization Bauer Media Group who maliciously took me down in May 2015 with a series of grubby and completely false articles. Far too often »

Review: The Lego Batman Movie

13 June 2017 10:34 AM, PDT | | See recent Comicmix news »

I fondly recall the purity of Lego, refusing to license media properties, preferring to keep their toys pristine and unique. Eventually, the opportunity for expanding their line was too tempting and they introduce first one, then another, and now a flood of media properties to their toys allowing you build everything from the Batcave to the Black Pearl. It was only a matter of time before they migrated from the playroom to the computer screen in a series of games that morphed into direct-to-dvd features. And now we have a whole subset of children’s films featuring the Lego version of popular heroes and villains.

One reason this explosion has been sustained is that the producers and writers have been freed to go wild, tongues firmly in cheeks, offering kinetic mayhem for the younger viewers and tons of pop culture references for the parents forced to endure repeated viewings. No »

Other comments were just inexplicably mean for seemingly no reason. Former Wizards and Clippers forward Caron Butler read one tweet that claimed, "If you look up the word douche in the dictionary you'll see a picture of Hitler, but in that picture he's holding up a photo of [link »

Coming Distractions: The Workaholics guys brought weed and guns to their new Netflix movie trailer

9 May 2017 9:12 PM, PDT | | See recent The AV Club news »

Having finished up their shifts on Comedy Central’s Workaholics, Adam Devine, Anders Holm, and Blake Anderson—plus their behind-the-scenes comrade, Kyle Newacheck—are moving on to bigger, more violent things. Last year, we reported that the quartet were teaming up with Seth Rogen for their first film, Game Over, Man!. Now, Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for the film, revealing that it’ll be dealing in the same mixture of slacker comedy and pot, with just a little bit of gunfire thrown in to spice things up

The film centers on three would-be video game creators, whose dream project gets ruined when their financial benefactor is kidnapped by terrorists. (Cue violent, bumbling rampages galore) The film was just recently picked up by Netflix, which announced that it’ll arrive on the digital airwaves next year, on 4/20, because of course it will.

Fun Teaser Trailer for Netflix's Action Comedy Film 'Game Over, Man!'

8 May 2017 6:13 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

"That is my bad! And now we know..." Netflix has unveiled the teaser trailer for an action comedy titled Game Over, Man!, the first feature film made by the "Workaholics" group. The film stars all three guys from "Workaholics" - Adam Devine, Anders Holm and Blake Anderson - and is directed by one of the creators of the show as well. These three actors have already landed other major roles in all kinds of movies, but this time they're finally coming together to tell a story of three stoner gamer friends about to sign a big financing deal when their investor is kidnapped by terrorists. This teaser doesn't contain any real footage, mostly because it's in the middle of filming, but also because it's still a year away from release. Quite a big tease from Netflix for a film so far away from release, but they must be excited about it. »

Teaser for action-comedy Game Over, Man from Workaholics cast released

8 May 2017 1:08 PM, PDT | | See recent JoBlo news »

While it was never must-see TV for me, I always enjoyed when I'd sit down and watch an episode of Workaholics. True, it was never wholly original; however, I think the easy repertoire and chemistry between the three leads - Adam DeVine, Anders Holm and Blake Anderson - more than made up for that. So it's understandable that they'd try to parlay that relationship into feature... Read More »

MTV Movie & TV Awards: Stars Praise Network for Moving the "Pop Culture Needle Forward"
