With exactly three weeks to go until the season four premiere of The Flash, The CW has released an extended trailer for the superhero series along with a batch of images from its first episode; take a look below…

Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) lived a normal life as a perpetually tardy C.S.I. in the Central City Police Department.  Barry’s life changed forever when the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator exploded, creating a dark-matter lightning storm that struck Barry, bestowing him with super-speed and making him the fastest man alive The Flash.  But when Barry used his extraordinary abilities to travel back in time and save his mother’s life, he inadvertently created an alternate timeline known as Flashpoint; a phenomenon that gave birth to the villainous speed god known as Savitar, and changed the lives of Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Wally West (Keiyan Lonsdale) forever.  With »

Following a promo for The Flash [watch it here], Entertainment Weekly has debuted the first official image from the upcoming fourth season of The CW’s DC superhero show featuring Grant Gustin’s Barry Allen; check it out here…

Speaking with EW, Gustin discussed how Barry is feeling following his escape from the Speed Force: “Initially, Barry is pretty scrambled when he comes out of the Speed Force. He’s not himself, he’s talking nonsense. The way I see it, when he was in the Speed Force, he experienced his whole life laid out in front of him from start to finish. So in some sense, he comes out very wise, kind of knowing everything, but he has no understanding of what he’s seen, so he comes out very jumbled and talking what he thinks makes complete sense, but just nonsense to the rest of the crew.”

Critics Pick the Returning TV Shows They Can’t Wait to See — IndieWire Survey

6 September 2017 10:46 AM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Tuesday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best show currently on TV?” can be found at the end of this post.)

This week’s question: What is your most anticipated returning show of the fall season? Why?

Liz Shannon Miller (@lizlet), IndieWire

There’s a lot I’m very excited about returning: “BoJack Horseman” Season 4, as just one example, is truly extraordinary. But I’m fascinated by the thought of what “Mr. Robot” Season 3 is going to be like, given the crazy political environment it was created during. The latest trailer teased a lot of exciting developments about the new world order descending upon the hacker drama; plus, it’s a show that always has at least one big secret up its sleeve. Of everything coming out this fall, it seems like the most unknown quantity, »

The Flash: The Complete Third Season Blu-Ray Review

4 September 2017 8:43 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Even though it obviously wasn’t the first show birthed by what we now refer to as the “Arrowverse,” many of you out there could probably make a solid argument for The Flash being the pinnacle of DC TV. Personally, I dig Arrow above all others, but I’d have to be pretty dense not to see what’s great about the Scarlet Speedster’s latest run on the small screen.

While the hit CW series is in no way a carbon copy of the comic books that have inspired it, one of its greatest strengths is that it fully embraces its source material, unabashedly tackling the fantastical with each episode. And, from the beginning, that becomes apparent with the season 3 premiere, “Flashpoint.”

It’s important to note that if you were expecting a straight up adaptation of Geoff Johns’ modern classic of the same name, you’re not going »

The Flash: Harry Wells Won’t Be The Only Wells Around In Season 4

4 September 2017 12:00 PM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Over the past few seasons, The Flash has had the ability to constantly swap out different version of one of their core cast thanks to the existence of the multiverse. That’s right. I’m talking about Good ol’ Harrison Wells. Audiences were first introduced to a shady, wheel chair-bound version of the character (one who ended up being Eobard Thawne in disguise).

Another version of the character returned in the form of the grumpier Harry Wells in Season 2, and in Season 3, we got several other versions before settling on Hr — the cheerleader of the group. Season 4 is set to replace the character — at least in part — yet again. In addition to the return of Harry Wells, we’ll be getting another version. But before we get that new version, Harry will be dealing some stuff of his own, »

Expect Iris And Caitlin To Develop A Bond In The Flash Season 4

29 August 2017 10:44 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Aside from laying claim to stunning action sequences, The Flash has especially excelled at crafting compelling interpersonal relationships between its major players, thereby lending itself to great drama and much levity. To date, we normally think of Barry Allen as being the nucleus at S.T.A.R. Labs, as we don’t often see too many of the characters fraternizing apart from the group unless it pertains to romantic pursuits.

Well, it looks like that’s about to change come this fall, proving that Barry and Cisco aren’t the only members of Team Flash who are allowed to be besties. As you’re aware of by now, episode 4×5 will be titled “Girls Night Out” and will see Arrow‘s Felicity Smoak make her return to Central City. Word on the street is that Iris West’s bachelorette party will be seen in said installment, which we have to admit sounds entirely plausible. »
