There are plenty of tough places to be an intern, but the CIA must be near the top of the list. HBO Max is developing a comedy series which tackles just how hard that might be, Variety has learned exclusively.
The forthcoming WarnerMedia streamer, which is set to launch May 2020, has set a script development deal for “Classified,” a workplace comedy about interns at the much covered foreign intelligence agency.
“Classified” hails from Paramount Television and writer David Sidorov, who most recently worked as a writer on the Comedy Central show “Alternatino with Arturo Castro.” The former Onion writer also counts ABC’s “Gong Show” revival, and truTV’s “Billy on the Street” with Billy Eichner among his previous credits. He is managed by Agi and his attorneys are Jared Levine and Priya Verma at Morris Yorn.

(Note: The interview with Arturo Castro was conducted before the Gilroy shooting on July 28, the El Paso shooting on August 3 and the Dayton shooting on August 4)
Comedian Arturo Castro is tackling the issue of gun violence and mass shootings in America in one of the sketches on tonight’s episode of Comedy Central’s “Alternatino.” Castro said in an interview with TheWrap he wanted the sketch to come from “a place of kindness,” where we aren’t swayed into thinking about politics, but of our own safety.
“I’m not American, so I didn’t want to come to it by saying ‘ban this,” Castro, who is Guatemalan born, said. “It’s hard to understand the amount of mass shootings. I want to be on the side of the victims.”

This past Sunday saw the season finale of HBO’s True Detective, a show that was hands down one of the best things to happen to television in many years. How do I know this? Well, I know this because it’s one of the rare pieces of entertainment that even internet haters had nothing bad to say about. Now that, my friends, is how you know something is truly remarkable.
While nothing but love and praise was heaped upon the show’s mesmerizing and utterly enthralling first season, that doesn’t mean that fans didn’t have a whole lot of fun with it. So iconic and memorable were so many moments and lines of dialogue throughout the show’s eight episode run that it was inevitable that spoofs, satires and parodies would hit the net in its wake… and boy did they ever.

var brightcovevideoid = '3308037094001'; With its obsessed fan base, wild-eyed monologues and sprawling Lovecraftian mythos, HBO neo-noir True Detective is ripe for satire. As the series gears up for its finale Sunday night, a number of online jokers have gotten their parodies out at exactly the right time. Our favorite is Onion veteran David Sidorov's "Yellow King Theory," which pokes fun at the insane brand of hyper-analysis the show has inspired in its fans. Sidorov's theory of who the real killer is might seem unconventional at first, but with his obsessive eye for detail, he's spotted clues that more casual viewers probably missed.

With "True Detective" headed for its season finale on Sunday (March 9), theorizing about the killer, Carcosa and the Yellow King is reaching "Lost"-like levels of intensity.
Never mind all of that, though: The definitive answer about the Yellow King is in the video above. As its narrator explains, "I've heard that it might be a member of the Tuttle family. There are some people who think it could even be Detective Marty Hart. But I think the Yellow King might be this big yellow man, dressed as a king, who we've seen several times throughout the series."
The video is very, very funny, but it's also a spot-on parody of the way fans and reviewers of "True Detective" have been obsessively poring over every shot and line of dialogue. It's the work of a group calling itself Big Meeting, which includes Onion News Network writer David Sidorov, comedian Rachel Wenitsky "and over 100,000 other people.

I didn't watch the below video because I want to go into this Sunday's season finale of HBO's "True Detective" without knowing or assuming anything more than what's bouncing around my own brain at the moment. However, from what I understand, the theory posed by David Sidorov in the following video is apparently something that will "blow your mind". I'll give the video a watch after the finale, but for now I'll let you dive in if you feel the need. yt id="X8zTSDFiI24" width="500"...
