Event Report and Reviews from the 2010 GoreZone International Film Festival

8 October 2010 9:40 PM, PDT | | See recent Dread Central news »

On October 2nd the third annual GoreZone International Film Festival got under way at Leicester Square’s Prince Charles Cinema; and for the first time ever, Dread was on the scene to check it out. Our report follows along with condensed reviews of six of the films shown over the weekend.

Blood Night: The Legend of Mary Hatchet, Breath of Hate, Hyenas, Cyrus: Mind of a Serial Killer, New Terminal Hotel, Darfur, and Devil's Playground are all included, but first a recap of the event and awards show.

Having experienced the festival first-hand, however, it’s pleasing to discover a level of intimacy and audience connection that is easily lost amongst the hustle and bustle of many larger profile fests, bolstered by »

Trailer Debut: Sean Cain's Breath of Hate

6 July 2010 12:47 PM, PDT | | See recent Dread Central news »

Finally, after months of talking about it, the trailer debut for Sean Cain's latest film, Breath of Hate, is upon us; and we have to admit star Ezra Buzzington appears to be gloriously psychotic!

Written and produced by Wes Laurie, Breath of Hate also stars Jason Mewes, Lauren Walsh, Jack Forcinito, Felissa Rose, and Timothy Muskatell. The story centers around Love (Walsh), a hooker who wants to leave the business because she's fallen in love with Ned (Mewes). When Love tells her pimp Sonny (Forcinito) that she's leaving the business to follow her heart, he forces her to go on one last job before she's "out."

While on the last job, Love has the misfortune of crossing paths with the wrong group- headed up by the maniacal Hate (Buzzington). Now it's up to Ned to find Love before it's too late.

Look for distribution and release news soon.

Breath of Hate - Production Video Blog 9

19 January 2010 4:49 PM, PST | | See recent Dread Central news »

It's hard to believe Dread Central readers that it's been about 3 1/2 months since I posted my last video production blog for the upcoming twisted horror flick Breath of Hate, but here we are in January 2010, and I thought what better way to move forward into a new year than by giving you an exclusive look at some more behind-the-scenes shenanigans from the set.

Director Sean Cain is currently in post-production on Breath of Hate and is working diligently right now on editing together the film, which he hopes to find distribution for later this year.

For now, soak in the mayhem that is day nine on set, including an interview with Breath of Hate's resident psychopaths Hate (Ezra Buzzington), Selma (Monique Parent) and Cleb (Ricardo Gray).

Written and Produced by Wes Laurie, Breath of Hate also stars Jason Mewes, Lauren Walsh, Jack Forcinito, Felissa Rose, and Timothy Muskatell. The »
