Richard was born in Sacramento California and grew up in El Dorado Hills. He moved to Los Angleles at 21 where he began his professional acting career and started his film company Ox Films. He has been working in the movie business since 2006 as an actor, movie producer, director, and writer.

Richard is currently going to school to get his Bachelors of Science in Film at The Art Institute of California - Sacramento. He completed his last two years of High School at Oak Ridge High, in El Dordo Hills, where he enrolled in an acting class each year. He started High School at Sacramento Waldorf. He went straight into college, where he attended American River and Folsom Lake College, majoring in theater and fitness. It was at American River College where his passion for acting grew deeper and he was in his first major production at the college, Two Gentleman of Verona. More opportunities came after that. At twenty one he decided to pack up his bags and take the six hour drive, and move to Los Angeles to begin his professional acting career, immediately jumping into the business and never looked back.
