Season Two of Smash premieres Tuesday night, with the cast and crew of the Marilyn Monroe bio-musical Bombshell returned to New York to continue its drive to Broadway. Need a refresher on who did what to whom in season one? Or did you not watch (or hatewatch) but are thinking about giving season two a shot? Much of the first season focuses on the battle between Broadway chorus veteran Ivy Lynn (Megan Hilty) and fresh-faced Iowa ingenue Karen Cartwright (Katharine McPhee) to land, and keep, the role of Marilyn. They are neck and neck through the pilot and not even a duel duet of the signature song “Let Me Be Your Star” settles the question.

‘Dredd 3D’ NYC Premiere: Red Carpet Photos

Dredd 3D, directed by Pete Travis, premiered in NYC this week. This photo gallery features photos of the cast and production as well as NYC talents who were in attendance.

Stars Karl Urban and Olivia Thirlby were on hand as well as screenwriter Alex Garland.

"Smash" Star Phillip Spaeth Talks His Character Dennis and Gay Broadway

Although a part of the ensemble on Smash, adorable Phillip Spaeth is clearly a standout.

If you zoned out a little bit during last week’s episode of Smash, you weren’t alone. Going back to Iowa with Karen (Katharine McPhee) was enough to put anyone to sleep but, thankfully, I can tell you tonight’s episode will wake you up as the ambitious musical series is in pitch-perfect form and truly shows what it’s capable of.

Tonight’s “The Cost of Art“ episode gives us fun musical numbers, cute guys (check out the ensemble in the Marilyn musical and cuter-than-ever guest Nick Jonas), a date for Tom (Christian Borle), some juicy conflict and bitchiness between our key characters and, fingers crossed, let’s hope Debra Messing’s Julia stays so preoccupied with her ex (Will Chase) that we never hear about adoptions again.
