Endeavour: PBS Series Returning for Season Three; Season Four Next?

We have spoilers for the third season of Masterpiece Mystery's Endeavour TV show, premiering on PBS, Sunday, June 19, 2016 at 9:00pm Et/Pt. The UK audience does not have have to worry about Endeavour being cancelled too soon, ITV renewed the drama for a fourth season. Will PBS follow suit and pick up Endeavour, season four? When we know, you will.

A prequel to the Inspector Morse series which starred John Thaw in the title role, Endeavour stars Shaun Evans as the young Endeavor Morse. Roger Allam also stars, as Di Thursday. The Endeavour cast also includes: Anton Lesser, Jack Laskey, Sean Rigby, James Bradshaw, Caroline O'Neill, and Abigail Thaw (daughter the Inspector Morse star).

3.2 Arcadia

With Morse back at work after the dramatic events of the series three opener, it’s business as usual for Oxford’s sharpest detective. When artist Simon Hallward is killed in a terrible fire at his flat, the police initially assume that his death is nothing more than an accident. However, Morse’s attention is drawn to a Teasmaid next to the dead man’s bed that appears to have been the seat of the fire. Further investigation reveals that Hallward was responsible for poisoning food supplied to local supermarket, Richardson’s. Oxford's finest, DC Morse, is back where he belongs in Endeavour's solid series 3 opening episode...

3.1 Ride

Endeavour’s second series ended its run back in April 2014, leaving us desperate to find out how the events of its final episode would be resolved. We last saw the young Endeavour Morse in prison, falsely accused of the murder of Chief Constable Standish. His mentor, Detective Inspector Fred Thursday, was at death’s door after his shooting by the real killer, corrupt Assistant Chief Constable Deare. Would Morse be freed, and would Thursday survive the attack? The first of those questions wasn’t too hard to answer for long-time fans of the future Inspector Morse, but the second was considerably more troubling.
