Supergirl Season 2 Episode 18 Review – ‘Ace Reporter’

26 April 2017 9:52 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Martin Carr reviews the eighteenth episode of Supergirl season two, ‘Ace Reporter’…

Back on screens and in fine form Supergirl Season Two gives us a Silicon Valley bad boy with seemingly nefarious intentions barely out of Pampers. He may be the head of a global brand but Jack Spheer, played by iZombie’s Rahul Kohli is smooth, intelligent and media friendly enough to slot right into National City. Similar to other high functioning entrepreneurs who populate this town, he has the latest medical breakthrough at his finger tips and a romantic back history with power player Lena Luthor. Something which opens up the episode and gives our shady Bff to Kara Danvers a little more substance.

What Katie McGrath has done with Lena Luthor within the confines of Season Two should not be overlooked. Not only has she grounded a comic book character within the limited forty minute screen time, »

Prepare for an extra dose of Rahul Kohli on your TVs this week, CW fans. The iZombie star is doing double duty with a little visit to National City on tonight's new episode of Supergirl, guest starring as Jack Spheer, a tech wizard who just so happens to be Lena Luthor's (Katie McGrath) ex-boyfriend. Not only is there his unfinished business with Lena to contend with, but the presentation of his life-saving nanobot technology Biomax will have Kara (Melissa Benoist) wondering if it's too good to be true, prompting the budding investigative journalist to do some digging. The above clip reunites Lena Luthor with her ex-boyfriend, tech genius Jack Spheer (played by iZombie‘s Rahul Kohli), and she isn’t the least bit subtle about wanting to catch up one-on-one — after sending Kara into a giggle fit with some well-deserved flattery, of course.

But before you worry about Kara and Lena’s friendship getting derailed by this shady newcomer, allow Katie McGrath to ease your mind: “We’ve spent 18 episodes »

Synopses For Upcoming Supergirl, The Flash And Arrow Episodes Surface

14 April 2017 10:48 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

In under two weeks, some of our favorite DC TV shows will return to airwaves with new episodes. So, as we continue the sprint toward their respective season finales, it’s only natural that official synopses for each surface well in advance. Given that, we’re able to peer into the future and discuss what’s to come in the first week of May for Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow.

Obviously, we’ll begin with Supergirl, since it’s the first to air. When examining the description, one can’t help but compare Alex being kidnapped by an unknown party to Kara having a price put on her head not long ago. And although Rhea is in this episode, I’m not so sure she’s responsible because this kind of has Cadmus’ stench on it. But, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Supergirl Season 2: Calista Flockhart and Tyler Hoechlin Return!

12 April 2017 10:52 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Some fan-favorite characters are making their way back to National City!

Calista Flockhart is returning as Cat Grant for the final two episodes of Supergirl Season 2, while Tyler Hoechlin has been tapped to appear as Clark Kent in the season finale.

Flockhart was last seen on The CW hit on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 2, after opting against keeping up her series regular status after a change in filming location from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

The quick-witted character departed her company, leaving it in the trusty hands of James Olsen. Details are scarce about how she will re-appear on the show.

We're sure she'll have a lot to say about Kara being fired from Catco. The two women became very close throughout Supergirl Season 1, with many fans left questioning whether Grant knew about Kara's superhero status.

Without a doubt, Supergirl has certainly stepped up its game in its second season. Don’t get me wrong, season 1 was certainly no slouch, but you have to admit that since its move to The CW, it’s been able to breathe more freely and has achieved new heights.

In that time, one wonderful addition to the show has been that of Lena Luthor, played by Katie McGrath. While attempting to step out of her notorious brother’s shadow and bring LuthorCorp – now L-Corp – into the light, she’s also forged an interesting relationship with one Kara Danvers while confounding her own mother, Lillian, at every turn. Fortunately, she’s been promoted to series regular for season 3.

Anyway, anyone remotely familiar with this show is well aware that earlier this season Tyler Hoechlin suited up, »

“So, so sorry to keep you waiting! But there were puppies.”

Supergirl’s Katie McGrath comes shuffling around the corner toward her setside trailer, having just made some furry friends over in hair-and-makeup. For someone so enigmatic both on-screen (Is Lena so different from brother Lex?) and off (Why doesn’t she have a birth date?), the Irish actress is wonderfully warm and welcoming, veritably champing at the bit to give her first in-depth interview since making her debut on the CW series last fall.

A Final Trailer for Guy Ritchie's 'King Arthur' Starring Charlie Hunnam

1 April 2017 1:06 PM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

"I know your story... What kind of man would you have become...?" Warner Bros has revealed one final trailer for Guy Ritchie's new take on King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, which opens in theaters in just over a month. Is anyone excited to see this movie? I feel like it's going to be forgotten so quickly. But maybe this footage will change your mind? Or maybe not. Charlie Hunnam stars as the new King Arthur with a cast including Jude Law, Annabelle Wallis, Katie McGrath, Eric Bana, Djimon Hounsou, Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Tom Wu, as well as Aidan Gillen. Guy Ritchie's signature style (and action) seems to be the biggest selling point of this, but maybe there's something to the story, too. The elephants revealed in this are pretty crazy, reminds me of Lord of the Rings, which is probably the point. Will you be seeing this? Here's »
