The CW has released official series synopses for the upcoming seasons of its returning DC TV shows Supergirl, The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Arrow, although they offer very little in the way of new info, and are mainly just recaps of the stories so far. Still, you can find them below, and click here for the trailer and synopsis for the network’s newest DC addition Black Lightning

Supergirl is an action-adventure drama based on the DC character Kara Zor-El, (Melissa Benoist) Superman’s (Kal-El) cousin who, after 12 years of keeping her powers a secret on Earth, decides to finally embrace her superhuman abilities and be the hero she was always meant to be. Twelve-year-old Kara escaped the doomed planet Krypton with her parents’ help at the same time as the infant Kal-El. Protected and raised on Earth by her foster family, the Danvers, Kara grew up »

The CW Releases Synopses For Fall Seasons Of Supergirl, Legends, The Flash, & Arrow!

18 May 2017 5:12 PM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

This season of TV has been a busy on one the CW — especially if you’re into their DC fare. With Supergirl finally joining the network in an official capacity, they had four hours of superhero programming each week. With the addition of Black Lightning, next season will bring us five superhero shows — a huge achievement for any network, really.

This coming fall will, of course, see the return of all four other shows, and with the current seasons finally wrapping up, CW has released synopses for each one of them. While the network has always been really good about keeping big spoilers out of the synopses, at the very least, you can get a glimpse of where the momentum for each show is going.

Have a look at the synopses below!

Supergirl Season 2 Episode 19 Review – ‘Alex’

3 May 2017 4:30 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Martin Carr reviews the nineteenth episode of Supergirl season 2…

Episodes which narratively pivot on a single life lesson however important live and die on the ability to engage. As the tagline suggests we have an episode which revolves around Alex Danvers, Deo officer, sister to Supergirl and bringer of relationship stability to one Maggie Sawyer. That she should immediately be put in mortal danger at the merest hint of animosity between those closest to her goes without saying. Unfortunately from thereon irrespective of motive, perceived villainy or means of confinement the life lesson to be learned is obvious. Having second guessed the crux, focal point and ultimate resolution things then drift into predictability.

Flashing back to her old school days and making their antagonist such an unlikely foe does little to help the cause. All it does is highlight the differing methods which Maggie and Kara employ trying to save Alex, »

Supergirl season 2 episode 19 review: Alex

Alex, Kara and Maggie are front and centre in a Supergirl episode with a predictable plot, but some great character moments...

2.19 Alex

Supergirl sure knows how to stick a landing. What started out as a pretty trite TV drama set-up — a bad guy kidnaps the person who is most important to our hero and demands they break an evil guy out of jail — developed some layers in its second half. This was in no small part to the #Sanvers relationship, which can pretty much always be counted on to add some fresh depth to any episode of Supergirl Maggie and Alex decide to grace with their presence.

With just four episodes of Supergirl left in season two, things in National City are about to get intense for our girl Kara. Kicking things off with tonight's race against time to rescue a kidnapped Alex (Chyler Leigh) from a tank rapidly filling up with water, it won't get any easier for Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) as the vengeful Rhea (guest star Teri Hatcher) puts her master plan into motion—one that will involve the fight for the emotionally wounded Lena Luthor's (Katie McGrath) soul, it seems more and more likely. Supergirl Season 2 Episode 18 Review – ‘Ace Reporter’

26 April 2017 9:52 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Martin Carr reviews the eighteenth episode of Supergirl season two, ‘Ace Reporter’…

Back on screens and in fine form Supergirl Season Two gives us a Silicon Valley bad boy with seemingly nefarious intentions barely out of Pampers. He may be the head of a global brand but Jack Spheer, played by iZombie’s Rahul Kohli is smooth, intelligent and media friendly enough to slot right into National City. Similar to other high functioning entrepreneurs who populate this town, he has the latest medical breakthrough at his finger tips and a romantic back history with power player Lena Luthor. Something which opens up the episode and gives our shady Bff to Kara Danvers a little more substance.

What Katie McGrath has done with Lena Luthor within the confines of Season Two should not be overlooked. Not only has she grounded a comic book character within the limited forty minute screen time, »

Prepare for an extra dose of Rahul Kohli on your TVs this week, CW fans. Not only is there his unfinished business with Lena to contend with, but the presentation of his life-saving nanobot technology Biomax will have Kara (Melissa Benoist) wondering if it's too good to be true, prompting the budding investigative journalist to do some digging. Synopses For Upcoming Supergirl, The Flash And Arrow Episodes Surface

14 April 2017 10:48 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

In under two weeks, some of our favorite DC TV shows will return to airwaves with new episodes. So, as we continue the sprint toward their respective season finales, it’s only natural that official synopses for each surface well in advance. Given that, we’re able to peer into the future and discuss what’s to come in the first week of May for Supergirl, The Flash and Arrow.

Obviously, we’ll begin with Supergirl, since it’s the first to air. When examining the description, one can’t help but compare Alex being kidnapped by an unknown party to Kara having a price put on her head not long ago. And although Rhea is in this episode, I’m not so sure she’s responsible because this kind of has Cadmus’ stench on it. But, I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

Supergirl Season 2: Calista Flockhart and Tyler Hoechlin Return!

12 April 2017 10:52 AM, PDT | TVfanatic | See recent TVfanatic news »

Some fan-favorite characters are making their way back to National City!

Calista Flockhart is returning as Cat Grant for the final two episodes of Supergirl Season 2, while Tyler Hoechlin has been tapped to appear as Clark Kent in the season finale.

Flockhart was last seen on The CW hit on Supergirl Season 2 Episode 2, after opting against keeping up her series regular status after a change in filming location from Los Angeles to Vancouver.

The quick-witted character departed her company, leaving it in the trusty hands of James Olsen. Details are scarce about how she will re-appear on the show.

We're sure she'll have a lot to say about Kara being fired from Catco. The two women became very close throughout Supergirl Season 1, with many fans left questioning whether Grant knew about Kara's superhero status.

Without a doubt, Supergirl has certainly stepped up its game in its second season. Don’t get me wrong, season 1 was certainly no slouch, but you have to admit that since its move to The CW, it’s been able to breathe more freely and has achieved new heights.

In that time, one wonderful addition to the show has been that of Lena Luthor, played by Katie McGrath. While attempting to step out of her notorious brother’s shadow and bring LuthorCorp – now L-Corp – into the light, she’s also forged an interesting relationship with one Kara Danvers while confounding her own mother, Lillian, at every turn. Fortunately, she’s been promoted to series regular for season 3.

Anyway, anyone remotely familiar with this show is well aware that earlier this season Tyler Hoechlin suited up, »
