Mini Bio (1)

Born in a small town and raised in what most refer to as 'The Tar Heel State'. He first discovered his acting ability at the age of 14, performing in high school. After graduating, he moved to New York to pursue a career full time. Jordan would spend the next few years performing in theatre productions around Manhattan that barely paid, but always brought an audience. Studying the art and method, as well as spending time watching classic films from well before his time with legend actors such as Humphrey Bogart, Marilyn Monroe, Orson Wells, Vincent Price and Bela Lugosi to name a few, were priorities. Inspirational performers such as these were a big influence on him as a teenager. So much in fact, that in 2006 Jordan relocated to Hollywood after auditioning for his first film role.

Personal Quotes (10)

Don't just play the role, make it your own. Sometimes you have to put your soul on the line! That's what it's all about.
[on his idea of success] When I was younger, I remember the doctor telling my mother, "He will end up being a Pope, or an Al Capone." When I think about it I guess they're both pretty successful.
I can't express in words how I feel about today's obsession with sex, drugs, money and power. I loathe the very thought of what that means to some people. It is definitely bad energy at work.
[when asked about acting] I love acting. Although sometimes it can be a painful process. To really get in touch with the character, find out who they are as a person and become that person is not always easy. Once you do though it's beautiful, even if only for a short time.
Be exceptional. No exceptions.
[when asked about watching himself on-screen] I'm surprised I haven't chipped a tooth from the amount of grinding and nail biting I do when I see myself act. There's always something you wish you had or hadn't done with the role. I do my best and put every fiber of my being into the character while filming, but then I start to think, alright. I've done my job well, brought what I could to the table and now it's really none of my business what they do with it.
As an actor, you're never satisfied. Any actor who says they are is lying.
Sometimes I feel like I'm living in the wrong time. There's so much I missed before I was born. I hear wiser people talk and I can only imagine what it was like.
[when asked about life] I think of life as energy. One huge piece of energy among a countless number of other pieces. This life, everyone and every living thing in it has an energy, good or bad, that contributes to make a whole. The flesh is weak, and it will expire, but energy has always been, will always be and can never be extinguished. So put good energy out there. It will make the circle and come back to you ten times stronger.
When it comes to being an actor, I am one hundred percent method. I don't know of any other way to go about it.
