Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees has lost his battle with cancer and passed away at the age of 62. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.
John Fiala, a former priest who abused a 16-year-old boy while pretending to drive him to his girlfriend's home, then hiring a hit man to kill the boy ,has been sentenced to 60 years in prison. He'll be eligible for parole in 15 years.
Back when DC Comics was preparing to relaunch their 52 main titles, they told The Advocate that they wouldn't be making any existing characters gay, but would be creating new Glbt characters. At Kapow this weekend, they announced a change, saying that one of the relaunched titles would feature an existing character as gay who was previously straight, who will now be “one of our most prominent gay characters.” Any guesses?

HollywoodNews.com: Miley Cyrus famously dated Nick Jonas when she was younger, but with that relationship she went through quite a bit of heartbreak.
Now, the young star is opening up about the romance and how she felt when it all fell apart, states Hollyscoop. “When you’re that young, even now, if anything happens it’s the end of the world. It’s the end of your world,” Cyrus commented.
And due to that, Cyrus went through typical teenage behavior: “I just went into this weird funk. And I dyed my hair black. On the day we broke up, I was like … I don’t want to look pretty; I want to look hard-core. I was rebelling against everything Nick wanted me to be.”
What do you think about how she handles relationships?

If crazy Britney and troubled Demi Lovato don't deserve to be on the X Factor panel, who does? Watch me moan about it.
I started on this difficult topic last week, but Britney Spears and Demi Lovato aren't the first people I'd ask to judge anything. Literally anything. And because the institution of reality television is sacred, it pains me that Britney and Demi have taken up two valuable spots as judges on Simon Cowell's enormous freakshow X Factor. Will Britney burn the whole place down on day one? Will Demi do it and blame it on Britney? (Clever.) The possibilities for despair are endless. The question remains: If these two are wrong for the job, then who's right?
In this week's Weeklings, I tear apart all the other candidates for Simon Cowell's co-anchors. This means Madonna, Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, Sheryl Crow, Paula Abdul, Nelly Furtado, and »

In a new interview with Amanda de Cadenet, Miley Cyrus opens up about her biggest heartbreak at the tender age of 14. On Cadenet's new Lifetime show, the British host asked Cyrus what advice she would give her 14-year-old self.
"My dad always said it to me, and I never really listened. I would always sweat the small stuff, and I think it's 'this too shall pass,'" she told Cadenet. "That's something I so needed to remember, when you're that young, even now, everything that happens, it's the end of the world, it's the end of your world.”
The now-19-year-old singer continued, explaining that her breakup from singer Nick Jonas when she was 14 made her feel like the world was ending.
"I had my biggest heartbreak when I was 14 -- even though that sounds crazy because I was 14 -- but it is. That was what love was to me. »

Miley Cyrus has had her heart completely broken by Nick Jonas! The 19-year-old says that she totally understands why girls might think it's the end of the world when a guy breaks up with them, but she says there's one thing you must remember. Following the news that Leap of Faith and the Nick Jonas–led How to Succeed in Business would lose their Broadway marquees, the drag spectacular Priscilla Queen of the Desert is also bidding the Great White Way farewell. The play will close after just one year and 526 performances — not even long enough to recoup its production costs. It looks like theatergoers are less interested in shows teeming with glitter and anal sex puns than previously thought. »

Priscilla has finally run out of gas. After 549 performances, the Broadway production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert — about two drag queens and a transsexual’s pop music-filled road trip through the Australian outback — will close at the Palace Theatre on Sunday, June 24, producers announced today.
The Tony Award-winning production opened in New York in March 2011 after an acclaimed run in Sydney in 2006 and subsequent openings in Melbourne, New Zealand, London and Toronto. The (no doubt sparkly) silver lining to the close of the Broadway outing is that the first U.S. national tour of Priscilla will launch in Minneapolis’ Orpheum Theatre on January 8, 2013. Yes, »

Darren Criss may have only been on Broadway for three weeks, but he’s already solidified his place in the Broadway community and earned an enviable résumé credit: host of Broadway.com’s 13th-annual Audience Choice Awards.
EW attended the theatrical get-together last night at the Time-Warner Center in New York, where the festivities were merry and the presenters (including Adam Pascal, Brian D’Arcy James, Judith Light and Tammy Blanchard) were even more so. While other theater awards ceremonies can be stuffy affairs, Criss’s self-referential shtick got things off to a lively start. Armed with a guitar and a piano, »

We just caught up with stars Hilty, Debra Messing and Christian Borle at NBC's upfront presentation in New York to discuss all things finale and the show's new showrunner for season two. More casualties on Broadway this week as the musicals Leap of Faith and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying both posted closing notices; the former is a reported $14 million flop, while the latter is a giant hit that simply ran out of steam after the departure of its original star, Daniel Radcliffe. (While Radcliffe’s replacement Nick Jonas initially drew smaller but steady crowds after arriving in January, the show has struggled at the box office in recent weeks.)
Looking forward, Tony-nominated musical hits Once and Nice Work If You Can Get It both set national tours — and »

"Smash" has come a long way since the days of "Let Me Be Your Star" and the season finale truly reveals the TV show's evolution. In "Bombshell" (Mon., May 14, 10 p.m. Et on NBC), Rebecca Duvall (Uma Thurman) has officially left the musical, leaving Ivy (Megan Hilty) and Karen (Katharine McPhee) in competition for the coveted role once again.
There are guest stars, new songs and flashbacks to days of yore (mainly the daydreamy performances like "20th Century Fox Mambo" and "The National Pastime") and the episode feels more like the "Smash" viewers first met during the first few episodes. We won't reveal who gets the role, but the tidbits below should tide you over. And don't fret, "Smash" will return for a second season on NBC.
The fate of a character is in question. There's a cliffhanger, naturally. A character has a Marilyn Monroe-esque moment that is sure »

Smash Sneak Peeks: Ellis Gets his Comeuppance and Nick Jonas Returns
We're coming up on the season finale of Smash and the production of Bombshell is current in trouble. In the penultimate episode the show lost its star when she had an allergic reaction after someone slipped peanuts into her smoothie. But the loss of Rebecca Duvall isn't the only problem. The test audiences didn't respond well to the ending of the musical, forcing Tom and Julia to come up with a new ending.
But the big question is: who will take the stage as Marilyn? With Rebecca out of the picture, both Ivy and Karen will be gunning for the role. Will Eileen and Derek give the job back to Ivy, who has the experience of the workshop under her belt, or will the greener Karen get the job?
One of the ladies will play Marilyn in the finale, »

Could this be Broadway’s first silent… musical? Producers of the Charlie Chaplin musical Chaplin (an enigmatic title, no doubt) today announced the production’s plans to open on Broadway on September 10, 2012 at the Barrymore Theatre.
Chaplin comes to Broadway after a lauded run at San Diego’s La Jolla Playhouse, where it played in 2010 under the original title Limelight (and won the San Diego Theatre Critics Circle’s Craig Noel Award for Best Musical). As the new name would suggest, the musical adapts the story of iconic silent film legend Charlie Chaplin as his storied career turns him from »
