Who Was Revealed As Raw’s Gm? New Division Announced For Monday Nights! | WWE Raw 07/18/16 Review

The 07/18/16 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw reviewed in about 4 minutes – including Raw and Smackdown’s new General Managers revealed, an old division being brought back to WWE, a huge WWE championship match and more…

Brand Split-amania!

The old ‘New Era’ ended with its most common trait – an opening promo segment with some McMahons.

They bantered about the draft, and Stephanie claimed to have better Lady Balls than Shane’s…man balls. Lady Balls was one of the rumoured names for Stephanie’s upcoming autobiography, so it looks like they’re turning that into a catchphrase. It’s a shame, as I much prefer “Filthy, Dirty, Disgusting, Skanky, Brutal, Bottom-feeding, Trash-bag ho”. Drink it in.

Brock Lesnar’S Ufc 200 Win

Brock Lesnar is by far WWE’s most high-profile talent right now, winning his first fight in 4 1/2 years at Ufc 200 over the weekend. But all that got was a 30 second photo montage recapping the victory. John Cena got more plugs for hosting the Espys this coming Wednesday. Mr Robot Season 2 got more plugs than Ufc 200.

It’s weird because it’s not like WWE and Ufc are competition or anything. They’re totally different things, guys. Not competition at all. Completely separate. They just »

Seth Rollins Shoots On Roman Reigns’ WWE Suspension! | WWE Raw 06/27/16 Review …in about 4 minutes

The 06/20/16 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw reviewed in about 4 minutes – including Seth Rollins cutting a shoot promo on Roman ReignsWWE suspension, the return of Kane, an interesting note about the WWE Championship, and more…

Seth Rollins Shoots

The show opened on Seth Rollins cutting a promo about how we’ve all been waiting forever to see a Shield triple threat. But that isn’t really what anyone wants to talk about. So let’s talk about Roman Reigns taking some naughty substances.

Rollins called Reigns “embarrassing” and a “mistake,” but never really went full on shoot mode. Everything he said felt sanitised by WWE’s PR team. I would’ve loved for Seth to have gone harder, screaming, “even though Roman cheated by taking banned substances, he still couldn’t beat me! »

The 06/20/16 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw reviewed in about 4 minutes – including two big WWE stars returning to TV (and John Laurinaitis), Shieldbowl announced with a triple threat between WWE Champion Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, a bad call by Michael Cole, and much more…

Lunatic Champion Promo

The show opened on Dean Ambrose nearly forgetting his WWE Title in a cab on the way to the arena – what are you like, Dean? – to then cut a promo on winning the championship the previous night.

The usual interruptions took place – first Roman Reigns, then Seth Rollins, then a McMahon to make a match between them later that night. The main event’ll be Reigns vs Rollins to be the No.1 contender.

Roman was heckled by “You can’t wrestle chants” yet again. »

All of the ref bumps, both Roman Reigns and John Cena lose on the same night, and a new WWE Champion is crowned…twice. WrestleTalk’s Oli Davis reviews WWE’s Money in the Bank 2016 PPV/Network Special thingy.

The New Day Beat Cass & Enzo Vs The Vaudevillians Vs Galanderson

The PPV, Network Special thingy opened with a fatal fourway tag match, which saw New Day retain against Cass and Enzo, The Vaudevillians and Galanderson. I really enjoyed this match, but the finish had an awkward…

There was a moment when Luke Gallows just stood there for a while looking at Big E, stumbling around like he was in dazed mode on Thq’s Smackdown Just Bring It video game. Retro reference. The delay meant that when Aidan English was eventually pinned, »

Review: WWE Wrestlemania Xxxii (Blu-ray)

5 June 2016 2:57 AM, PDT | Shadowlocked | See recent Shadowlocked news »

Another year, another WrestleMania, and once again the WWE have put together their undeniably impressive Showcase of the Immortals, this year in Dallas, Texas.

Kicking off, as it did last year, with a seven man ladder match for the Intercontinental Title, Kevin Owens, Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Sami Zayn, Stardust, Sin Cara and Zack Ryder put on a great match, delivering plenty of bumps and really setting the seeds for the ongoing Owens / Zayn feud now that both men are established on the main roster.

Next up was Aj Styles’s Mania debut against Chris Jericho, with both men giving their all but not quite creating the synergy that might be expected from two top performers. That said, Styles was impressive and will surely be a lot higher up the bill for Wm Xxxiii next year.

The ever popular New Day (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods) took on the League of Nations (Sheamus, »

Aj Styles Turns Heel! John Cena Returns! | WWE Raw 05/30/16 Review …in about 4 minutes

The following is a guest post from WrestleTalk. Subscribe to their YouTube channel for new videos every day.

The 05/23/16 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw reviewed in about 4 minutes – including Aj Styles reuniting with The Club and turning heel, John Cena’s return, Stephanie and Shane McMahon announcing the WWE brand split, and much more…

America!

The show opened with a lengthy video package on Memorial Day. Being an Englishman, however, all I heard was the opening riff to Team America: World Police’s ‘America, F*** Yeah!’

On a more serious note, why was The Miz used as one of the talking heads? In the show, he’s a heel. Couldn’t they have just gotten another babyface? Inconsistencies like that are really annoying.

The Steph And Shane Connection

But not as annoying as the McMahon siblings. Shane and Stephanie introduced the show proper by announcing that Smackdown’s going »

WWE rolls out it’s most “extreme” PPV of the year, and it’s the second one of the “new era”…

What have we learned from the New Era of WWE (other than that they love to say that phrase over and over again?). Well it has brought in some much needed new blood to the main roster, and it’s presented us with a fairly decent card for our first A-Show of the New Era. It’s Gimmick Match-a-Mania! However much of what is here feels like either a re-tread of last month’s show but with added stips. Let’s see what we’ve got in store…

WWE: This Week in Review (Raw/Smackdown/Nxt)

So, we are heading quickly towards WWE’s second May PPV, Extreme Rules, and there are lots of rematches from Payback likely to happen at that show. I hope this doesn’t mean the product will be stale for the next month or so, but we shall see.

Raw (9th May 2016) Results: Baron Corbin defeated Dolph Ziggler R Truth beat Fandango Paige beat Charlotte Sami Zayn defeated The Miz Sin Cara pinned Rusev Roman Reigns & The Usos beat Aj Styles, Anderson & Gallows by Dq Kevin Owens defeated Zack Ryder The Dudleys beat The New Day Big Cass versus Chris Jericho went to a no-contest

The 05/09/16 edition of WWE Monday Night Raw reviewed in about 4 minutes – featuring a big match up between The Roman Empire (aka The Family) and The Bullet Club (aka The Club), Big Cass gets a main event match, yet another Nxt star debuts and are WWE telling the best story of 2016 right now?

Chris Jericho Highlight Reel

Last week, the fans lost one of their favourite onscreen talents: Dean Ambrose’s potted plant Mitch. Chris Jericho, being one sick individual, paraded the broken remains of everyone’s most beloved talk show decoration right in the middle of the ring to open the show. 'WWE Raw': The Bullet Boys Are Back in Town

Howdy wrestling fans, and a big thanks to Aaron Oster and James Montgomery for tending to the homestead while I was off for last week's Raw and Payback spectacles. And I have no idea why I'm aping cowboy parlance, or if that's even appropriate while recapping a show that went down in Omaha. But in the interest of corralling my thoughts, let's look toward Extreme Rules.

'WWE Raw': The Last Temptation of Aj Styles

The first Raw of the "New Era" began with a Stephanie McMahon promo and featured a feud built around the destruction of a potted plant (R.I.P., Mitch). In other words, we aren't exactly witnessing a wrestling revolution here.

And yet, coming off of Payback, a PPV that featured very little in the way of retribution (but plenty of interesting developments), last night's show still managed to rise above all the prefab talk of changing the game – and set the table for a series of compelling matches at Extreme Rules, »

It’s the first post-Mania PPV, and the first of the “new era”…

What a difference a few weeks makes. In the lead up to WrestleMania 32, we were bemoaning the state of the roster, and how bland the card was going in. Now that Mania is done and dusted for another year, we’ve got a whole host of new performers, new feuds, old feuds given new life and even a fresh face in the title hunt. What a difference eh? If this really is the “new era” of WWE, it’s looking like it could be a good one.

WWE Buy Out Interest?

Our top story today is a potential buy out of the WWE.

The New York Post is reporting that there’s a “strong rumour” that media mogul John de Mol – which I believe translates into John The Mole – wants to buy the WWE outright if Vince McMahon ever decided to sell. He’s one of the guys behind a bunch of hit TV shows like Fear Factor, Big Brother and The Voice.

So what? You say. What makes The Mole different from any other crazy billionaire wanting a new vanity purchase? The fact that The Mole’s company, Talpa Beheer, already acquired a 6% stake in the WWE last August.

OctaFinance reported back then that Talpa »

As Wrestlemania weekend came to a close, Monday Night Raw came packed with fresh faces, returning superstars, unexpected face turns and a main event for the ages.  It also had its fair share of disappointment that’s bound to cause a great deal of controversy.  All in all, a show worthy of discussion…

Vince Gives Shane Control Of The Show… For One Night Only

Wrestlemania 32 saw Shane O’Mac unsuccessfully take on Undertaker in a Hell In A Cell match.  If he won, he’d have inherited Monday Night Raw from The Authority; but, like most potentially good storylines in the current climate, it wasn’t to be.  That being said, we got a taste of what it would be like on this episode of Raw as Vince relinquished control for the night so he could prove a point; that point being that Shane’s authority would result in a train wreck of a show. »
