Viewers may recognize the Texas-born, Georgia-raised Carter, who'd auditioned to play an Irish biker on Sons years ago, from HBO's True Detective—he played Ab inmate Charlie Lange. Rj Mitte, the actor best known for playing Walter “Flynn” White Jr. on the hit show Breaking Bad, wants to be known for something else now — as the face of the Shriners Hospitals For Children anti-bullying campaign, "Cut the Bull," which asks individuals to take a stand against bullying.

Mitte, who has cerebral palsy, was often subjected to both verbal and physical abuse as child. “I dealt with people making fun of me," he told uInterview. "I’ve dealt with kids making fun of my braces and how I speak, how I walk. I had my hand broken. I was pushed I was shoved.”

Mitte knows exactly how he'd handle a bully these days. “If it came down to speaking directly to a bully, I would just tell them, someone will come around and do the exact same thing they’re gonna do to you as you’re doing to the other person, »

‘Breaking Bad’s’ Vince Gilligan: Show’s Emmy Win is ‘Icing on the Cake’

25 August 2014 9:20 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

For a show with such dark undertones and subject matter, the cast and crew of “Breaking Bad” is always jovial for interviews — and backstage at the Emmy Awards after their multiple wins was no exception.

Supporting actor in a drama winner Aaron Paul started things off by sharing details of the “Breaking Bad”-themed scavenger hunt for show memorabilia he hosted on Monday, saying it started with costar Rj Mitte sitting in an Ihop and ended with Paul running around in his hazmat suit. He said the hunt was a way to give back to the fans.

Paul and costar Betsy Brandt also talked about separating themselves from key traits of their characters on the show. While he said he doesn’t plan to stop using his character’s de facto catchphrase “bitch,” Brandt said she did trot out her character’s favorite color for this special occasion.

Miss Piggy, Armando Iannucci and Bryan Cranston highlight the TCA Awards

20 July 2014 10:26 AM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

Saturday was an excellent night and a strange night to be a member of the Television Critics Association. On the one hand, we held our annual TCA Awards ceremony, filled with terrific winners giving terrific speeches. On the other, the power in the hotel (and the surrounding neighborhood) randomly went out late in the post-show reception, and then news broke that the great James Garner — who had won our Career Achievement award four years earlier — had died. Before the blackout and the sad news, though, the night featured many highlights, including: * "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" co-star Terry Crews was our host, and after first doing the expected — juggling his pecs, he said, "I'm contractually obligated to do that" — he did the wildly unexpected by introducing Miss Piggy from the Muppets to duet on a song about the challenges of being a TV critic.
