TV News Roundup: ‘Code Black’ Casting Shuffle Promotes One and Loses Two

Code Black” is losing two of its cast members for Season 2. Plus, WWE star Randy Orton will guest star on USA Network’s “Shooter” and Comedy Central has ordered a new series, “Corporate.”

Casting:

CBS medical drama “Code Black” has parted ways with Bonnie Somerville and Raza Jaffrey for its upcoming second season. Meanwhile, Boris Kodjoe has been upped to series regular. The casting shuffle comes as the network is retooling the Marcia Gay Harden-starrer for its sophomore season, which returns this fall.

WWE’s Randy Orton will guest star on USA Network‘s “Shooter.” He will play James Richards, a former Navy Seal who leads the Tree of Liberty militia group. “Shooter,” produced by Mark Wahlberg, Stephen Levinson, Lorenzo di Bonaventura and John Hlavin, stars Ryan Phillippe, Omar Epps and Shantel VanSanten. The series premieres on USA Network on July 19 at 10 p.m.
