Joining the MTV series are Vanessa Morgan (Finding Carter), Malese Jow (The Flash), Gentry White (UnReal), Caroline Chikezie (Everly) and Desmond Chiam (NCIS: Los Angeles). MTV has revealed five new cast addiitons to The Shannara Chronicles, as production on Season 2 gets underway in New Zealand.

Malese Jow (The Flash, Vampire Diaries), Vanessa Morgan (Finding Carter), Gentry White (UnREAL, Turn), Caroline Chikezie (Footballers’ Wives) and actor/writer Desmond Chiam will join returning series regulars Austin Butler, Ivana Baquero, Manu Bennett, Aaron Jakubenko and Marcus Vanco, the network announced on Wednesday morning.

Jow (above left) will play Mareth, an unpredictable young woman with magical abilities, while Morgan (above right) will portray Lyria, a mysterious woman who is romantically linked to Baquero’s Eretria. »

Vanessa Hudgens is addressing the rock “carving” controversy that got her and Austin Butler in hot water almost a year ago.

On Monday, the High School Musical star paid a visit to Sway Calloway’s Sirius Xm’s morning show, Sway in the Morning, to put all criticism to rest.

“It was this whole thing in Sedona,” Hudgens, 28, said. “Me and my boyfriend were on a hike and then wrote our names on a rock with another rock and then people accused me of carving into this rock, but literally I took a piece of rock and wrote on the rock. »
