As champions of indie cinema, Dread Central is often privy to early details on upcoming projects, and today we have for you a first look at Kristian Day's Vessel in the form of a very preliminary plot breakdown and stills from the film along with two different posters.
Vessel stars actor, author, and public speaker Frank Meeink. He wrote the book Autobiography of a Recovering Skinhead, and a major TV network just picked up a new reality show he'll be hosting. It also stars Vanessa Giselle, Jerika Rangel, Ryan Kolder, and Barron Christian. All the make-up was done by Patrick Boltinghouse of Vanity and Glamour.
Vessel was produced, directed, written, and photographed by Kristian Day and inspired by an idea from Marcus Koch (100 Tears, Fell). It was shot during 2010 in Des Moines, Iowa, and is currently in post production aiming for an October 2011 release.

Hail to the King, a one-of-a-kind Stephen King tribute art show, is heading to downtown Des Moines for a five-week run beginning January 22nd. There will be original artwork, graphic design, artists proofs, limited edition prints, and soft sculpture toys paying tribute to the King of Horror!

Finder's Creepers and D. Ryan Allen present Hail to the King, a Stephen King Tribute Art Show featuring artists from across the country and around the world. This show will have an opening reception on Saturday, January 22nd, and will run through the end of February at Finder's Creepers, located at 515 - 18th Street in Des Moines, Iowa.
