Rock Of Love Contestant Gets Probation For DUI Charge
A former reality show contestant who tried and failed to win rocker Bret Michaels' heart has been fined $1,000 (£625) and sentenced to six months probation for driving under the influence (DUI).

Megan Hauserman, who competed on 2008's Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, was arrested in Miami, Florida last year.

She recently struck a plea deal with prosecutors that will keep her out of jail, on the condition that she pleaded guilty to the count.

As part of her punishment, the blonde star has been banned from driving for six months, ordered to complete a drink-driving awareness course and told to complete 100 hours of community service, according to TMZ.com.

Hauserman last hit the headlines in February, when she settled a legal battle with Sharon Osbourne following an altercation on another reality show, Rock of Love: Charm School, in December 2008. Hauserman sued the rock matriarch for battery and negligence after an alleged attack, but reached a confidential agreement a day before the case was due to go to trial.

Osbourne's Rock Of Love Feud Hits Court

Osbourne's Rock Of Love Feud Hits Court
Sharon Osbourne's showdown with a reality TV reject kicked off on Wednesday - jurors were selected after both sides failed to settle their feud outside the courtroom.

Megan Hauserman is suing the rock matriarch over allegations she assaulted her during a recording of U.S. TV series Rock Of Love: Charm School in December 2008.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Abraham A. Khan had offered to meet privately with Hauserman, Osbourne and their attorneys to resolve the matter before calling in a jury panel.

But Osbourne's attorney insisted the parties were "six figures away" from agreeing on a settlement, while Hauserman's lawyer, Roderick L. Lindblom, vowed to show jurors video evidence of the attack.

Lindblom intends to drop Hauserman's intentional infliction of emotional distress accusation, leaving only allegations of battery and negligent infliction of emotional distress to be tried.

He also plans to make Osbourne the first witness he calls to the stand.

Osbourne is countersuing Hauserman, claiming the blonde initiated their TV scrap for publicity.

The brawl began after the contestant insulted Osbourne's husband Ozzy, calling the former Black Sabbath star a "brain-dead rocker". The 58 year old allegedly retaliated by grabbing Hauserman by the hair and scratching her.

Judge Sets Trial Date For Osbourne's Rock Of Love Dispute

Judge Sets Trial Date For Osbourne's Rock Of Love Dispute
Sharon Osbourne will come face-to-face with reality TV reject Megan Hauserman in a Los Angeles courtroom next year - a judge has set a trial date over allegations of battery.

The wife of rocker Ozzy Osbourne is being sued by Hauserman amid claims she was attacked by Osbourne after appearing on her U.S. TV series Rock Of Love: Charm School in December 2008.

Osbourne is said to have lost her temper when the contestant insulted her husband, calling the former Black Sabbath star a "brain-dead rocker".

Hauserman filed suit accusing the rock matriarch of battery, negligence and infliction of emotional distress. She went on to further allege that Osbourne attempted to assault a process server when he tried to hand her legal papers in April 2009.

Osbourne subsequently countersued, claiming Hauserman initiated the brawl on TV for her own publicity.

Defending her actions, Osbourne said, "She had it coming, big time. It shows you how dumb she is. Anyone who knows anything about me knows not to say anything about my family, or you're going to get it. Say what you like about me, but don't ever, ever, ever insult my family."

The two parties will now meet in a Los Angeles court on 8 February, unless they can reach a settlement before the case goes to trial, reports Eonline.com.

Police were brought in to investigate Hauserman's allegations against Osbourne, but no charges were filed.

'Survivor's' Boo Bernis alleged battery victim is 'Big Brother' alum Krista Stegall

  • Pop2it
More details have emerged in Kenward "Boo" Bernis alleged battery case from April 28. TMZ is reporting that the woman he allegedly roughed up in the Bootleggers Bar in Lafayette, Louisiana is none other than "Big Brother 2" contestant Krista Stegall.

You may remember Boo from his fifth-place finish on "Survivor: Fiji" and Krista from her infamous post-show proposal from Mike "Boogie" Malin (pictured above, right). Shockingly, that did not work out.

Stegall alleges that Bernis stormed into the bathroom, "grabbed her arms, shoved her against a wall, and shouted, 'This is my bar!'" Bernis co-owns Bootleggers Bar with current "Survivor" contestant Russell Hantz.

Stegall filed for a restraining order against Bernis last week and says that while they are longtime friends, they never dated.

'Survivor' contestant Kenward 'Boo' Bernis cited for battering woman

  • Pop2it
It appears the real "Survivor" villains do their worst out in the real world.

Kenward "Boo" Bernis was cited for battering a woman in a bar restroom in Lafayette, Louisiana over the weekend, reports TMZ.

The construction worker, who was the 14th person voted out on "Survivor: Fiji," is accused of grabbing a woman in the ladies restroom of Bootleggers Bar and "forcibly move[ing] her."

Wait, a sec. Lafayette and "Survivor"? If this sounds all too familiar, it is. Current "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains" contestant Russell Hantz was arrested for battery recently in the same city.

He also just happens to own Bootleggers Bar.

Sometimes life imitates art. Sometime life utterly outshines art, especially if by art you mean reality TV, and by life you mean the show's trainwreck stars themselves. But she's got some bad company: America's Next Top Model's Bianca Golden , VH1's millionaire hunter Megan Hauserman and Real Housewives' slimey Slade Smiley. Survivor Villain Russell Hantz is just the latest to join this notorious club. So, what to you call it when a reality-tv star's real-life transgressions are far more intriguing than their shows? Tareq and Michaele Salahi, Balloon Boy: Reality TV dream seekers go too far?

Tareq and Michaele Salahi's alleged crashing of the White House state dinner Tuesday night raises more questions than just how security let them through.

To what lengths will people go to in order to land on a reality TV series? Should reality show producers actually consider and condone the actions of those who've broken the law specifically to get attention to get on the show? Would TV viewers want to watch said scofflaws getting more fame and fortune on their own shows?

It's no surprise that reality shows have been a breeding ground for attention seekers. Any regular Joe nowadays can have their 15 minutes in the sun and possibly even parlay that into extended fame. Some have even made a career out of reality TV show-hopping. Megan Hauserman, we are definitely looking at you.

But with the competition so fierce to land on these shows, those craving fame have been
