Anna Samantha Ulriksen Jordanowa, or Anya Jordanova, was born in 1985 to her mother Ulrika, a teacher and writer, and father, a poet. Coming from a Polish and French background, Anya, whose nickname is SuperNova, had her sights set on success as a performer for as long as she can remember.

Starting out modeling at the age of 14, she was discovered by Neil Hamill Models and quickly rose to fame as an international model. Following in her grandmother's footsteps, Hollywood actress Jean Carlin, Anya trained as a ballerina in classical ballet, performed in the theater and French cinema, and began high fashion modeling career. Anya is multilingual and speaks fluent French, Polish, and Russian, and some Swedish and German. Also nicknamed "The French Transplant Beauty", Anya is often compared to actresses Melanie Laurent and Sienna Miller and hopes to build a successful career in art house films in France and the USA. She splits her time between New York, Paris, and Los Angeles, and in 2009 can be seen in the Hollywood film 'The Informers'.
