'Sir, Please Hurry the Hell Up!' Americans Call on Special Counsel Robert Mueller to End Their Trump Nightmare

Are you there, grand jury? It’s us, America.

On Wednesday, Twitter was overrun with queries on the status of Robert Mueller‘s special investigation into ties between Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia following the president’s controversial Tuesday press conference in which he said “both sides” were to blame for the violence at the white nationalist rally in Charlottesville over the weekend.

Wrote CNN commentator Ana Navarro, “Dear Robert Mueller, Sir, please hurry the hell up! Signed, An American – Ana Navarro.”

Former FBI director Mueller is the Justice Department’s special counsel overseeing the investigation into the Trump campaign.

From the director of The Girl With All The Gifts comes Escape, starring James McAvoy...

James McAvoy has been making some interesting (and great) choices as of late. The latest? According to Deadline, he will star in Escape, the upcoming drama from Colm McCarthy, aka the man behind the quite brilliant movie of The Girl With All the Gifts. McCarthy is also known for his work on Peaky Blinders, Doctor Who, and Sherlock.

Escape is a Blacklist script written by first-time screenwriter Vanya Asher. It is based on his family's experiences in Sarajevo leading up to the break-up of Yugoslavia in 1992. McAvoy will star as a professor who decides to stay behind in the warzone that his city has become to continue teaching. Deadline teases "as the massacre escalates, his window of opportunity to join his family is quickly closing and he must fight his way out amidst the turmoil.

Black List: Madonna Biopic ‘Blond Ambition’ Leads 2016 Edition

Seventy-three unproduced screenplays comprise this year’s Black List, an annual ranking of well-regarded scripts that have yet to make the leap from page to screen. More than 250 executives in the film industry voted on this year’s edition, and their consensus is that Elyse Hollander’s Madonna biopic “Blond Ambition” is the “most liked” of them.

Previous screenplays that have appeared on the Black List and gone on to be produced include “Spotlight,” “Arrival” and “Manchester by the Sea.” Full list below:

2016 Black List Scripts Announced

2016 Black List Scripts Announced
The 2016 version of the Black List — an annual ranking of the best unproduced screenplays in Hollywood — began arriving Monday.

One of the first script announced was Flint Wainess’ “Linda and Monica[/link],” described as the true story of Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp and their relationship. Mindy Kaling made the list with her “Untitled Late Night Comedy” script as did “The Imitation Game” screenwriter Graham Moore with “The Last Days of Night,” a story on the legal battle between Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse.

Dan Gilroy, who received an Oscar nomination for “Nightcrawler,” made the list with “The Inner City.”

The annual lineup consists of the year’s best unproduced scripts in Hollywood as voted on by more than 250 studio execs. Previous alumni of the list include “Slumdog Millionaire,” “Argo,” “The King’s Speech,” “Foxcatcher,” “Whiplash” and “The Imitation Game.”

‘The Comeback’ Cast Cherishes the Moment at Season 2 Premiere
Time warp” was the phrase on everyone’s mind Wednesday night at the premiere of “The Comeback” at the El Capitan Theater in Hollywood.

The Lisa Kudrow-starrer officially returns on Sunday, but the cast and creators of the comedy series gathered to celebrate Valerie Cherish’s return to the spotlight, still amazed at “The Comeback’s”… comeback.

“It feels like a welcome return and a great opportunity and a dream come true,” said Dan Bucatinsky, who not only produces the series but also stars.

“It was almost like we stepped back into the same screen,” said Robert Michael Morris. Morris added that he was taken aback when the call came in about doing a season two, nearly ten years out from being cancelled, but came around the instant creator Michael Patrick King asked if he would be on-board.

“The biggest reaction was down in the parking lot,” explained Lisa Kudrow.

Eureka! We've found the really hot nerds...

Summer TV doesn't have a lot of jewels, but the show SciFi is using to relaunch itself as SyFy sparkles like a logic diamond in a coal mine. The quirky little town of Eureka is where the government keeps the coolest toys - forget Area 51, that's for tourists.

Since the earliest part of the 20th century, the idyllic little town of Eureka has been the haven for the best and the brightest America has ever had. They invented the atomic bomb decades before WWII.  Teleportation? Got it. Cloaking device? How do you think they hide the town from us? Clean fusion power? Even the town diner, Cafe Diem, has a fusion reactor powering its freezer.
