Hollyoaks star Zoë Lister has promised that the soap will end the year with "great" scenes involving her character Zoe Carpenter. Troubled Zoe will be seen facing a horrifying confrontation with Lydia Hart (Lydia Kelly) on New Year's Eve as her plan to expose the deranged student as a killer spirals out of control. Zoe is currently the only village resident who is aware that Lydia sabotaged Sarah Barnes's (Loui Batley) parachute on their recent adventure holiday, causing her to die in a skydiving tragedy. However, unbeknown to her, Lydia had in fact hoped to target Zoe with the twisted scheme. Speaking in an interview with Digital Spy, Lister confirmed that Zoe and Lydia will agree to spend New Year's Eve at Sarah's grave before a dramatic altercation follows. "When they get to the church, Zoe's really freaked out. They're (more) »

Hollyoaks actress Zoë Lister has revealed that fans can expect her character's current storyline to become "really messy" in the days ahead. The 27-year-old's troubled alter ego Zoe Carpenter was recently cleared of being responsible for Sarah Barnes's (Loui Batley) tragic skydive death, but true culprit Lydia Hart has so far remained undetected as the authorities now believe Sarah committed suicide. Sarah's passing came after deranged student Lydia (Lydia Kelly) sabotaged her parachute moments before she jumped from a plane during an adventure holiday. Following the dramatic incident, which caused heartbreak for Sarah's father Mike (Tony Hirst), Lydia attempted to frame Zoe for the crime. Speaking to Digital Spy about Zoe's plans to get even, Lister revealed: "[She] can't let Mike continue to think that Sarah (more) »

Hollyoaks' series producer Lucy Allan has revealed that she considered moving the soap's storylines ahead for a permanent 'flashforward' earlier this year. The Channel 4 drama recently announced details of a unique one-off episode set six months in the future, focusing on a dramatic incident which will take place on the day of Calvin Valentine (Ricky Whittle) and Carmel McQueen's (Gemma Merna) second wedding. Viewers will then see the build-up to the pair's nuptials as the show's instalments return to the present day. However, Allan has now told Digital Spy that she "toyed" with the idea of jumping forward in time for good while planning Zoe Carpenter's (Zoë Lister) recent trial plotline, which saw the troubled blonde accused of being responsible for Sarah Barnes's (Loui Batley) tragic skydive (more) »

Earlier this year, the 27-year-old took part in a number of plane jumps to prepare for a dramatic storyline on spinoff Hollyoaks Later. Discussing the preparation, Lister told Heatworld: "I was massively excited until I got into the plane. Wow, December already? Good morning!
Courtenay Semel is really into celebrating the fact that she's a cover girl, throwing herself a party and everything. Curve is probably seeing its most sales ever, with the heiress herself likely having purchased several to give away to friends, family and prospective girlfriends.
If you're a Hollyoaks fan, you might be sad to hear that Zoë Lister will be gone as of January. The second lesbianish character to leave the show this season, Zoë claims she was "proud" of how her character's ex-flame Sarah died earlier this year, which was falling to her death with a sabotaged parachute. They're going to have to pull out all the stops in offing Zoë. Here's an idea: Lesbian bed death.

Zoë Lister has revealed that her Hollyoaks character struggles to prove her innocence in this week's court scenes. The 27-year-old's alter ego Zoe Carpenter has been wrongly accused of murder after her friend Sarah Barnes (Loui Batley) died in suspicious circumstances during a skydive attempt earlier this year. In reality, jealous Lydia Hart (Lydia Kelly) was the person responsible for sabotaging Sarah's parachute before her death, but she has so far managed to escape detection by framing Zoe for the crime. Speaking to Digital Spy about how the trial progresses, Lister explained: "Zoe's just wondering what lies Lydia's going to come up with next. Lydia's actually really convincing and after the first day, Zoe almost resigns herself to the fact that she's going to prison. "Zoe knows the truth, though - she knows she's (more) »

Hollyoaks actress Loui Batley has branded her character's gruesome skydive death as the perfect exit from the show. The 22-year-old, who played lesbian student Sarah Barnes for four years, bowed out of the Channel 4 serial during last night's penultimate episode of Hollyoaks Later on E4. The episode, which featured a skydive stunt, saw a jealous Lydia (Lydia Kelly) sabotage Zoe Carpenter's (Zoë Lister) parachute. However, when the packs were distributed, Lydia allowed the trio to take to the skies and a game of Russian roulette ensued. Without knowing who had the tampered parachute on their backs, Zoe, Sarah and Lydia took it in turn to jump out of the plane. Zoe successfully pulled her ripcord but Lydia could only watch on as a panicked Sarah plummeted to her death when her parachute failed to operate. Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, Batley (more) »

Hollyoaks star Zoë Lister has insisted that her character Zoe Carpenter doesn't have romantic feelings for Sarah Barnes. Viewers saw Zoe having a lesbian encounter with Sarah (Loui Batley) in late night spinoff Hollyoaks Later last year, but they went on to dismiss the experience as a drunken mistake. Discussing the current state of the pair's relationship in an interview with Digital Spy, Lister explained: "I don't think they do have feelings for each other in that way. Last year happened and Zoe put it down to history and experience - one of those things that teenagers get up to occasionally and she was quite happy to leave it there. "They've got through a lot and their relationship is really quite special. There's a lot of love there but Zoe's not got (more) »

Loui Batley has admitted that she was too scared to try a real-life skydive during training for Hollyoaks Later. The late-night soap spinoff sees tragedy strike tonight as Batley's character Sarah Barnes agrees to take part in a parachute jump with Zoe Carpenter (Zoë Lister) and Lydia Hart (Lydia Kelly). Producers have confirmed that either Sarah or Zoe will fall to their death in the scenes. Though the dramatic moment was filmed using an airfield storage area and static plane, all three actresses received varying levels of skydiving training for practical purposes. Speaking to Digital Spy, Batley revealed: "I was honestly very tempted [to do a skydive] but then I thought it was tempting fate a little. We were coached so well - I went on the training to learn how to do all the manoeuvres but I'm absolutely terrified of planes and heights, so it was a bit (more) »
