Philip Dewhurst
Philip was born to parents Susan Mary Heys and Philip Andrew Dewhurst
on the 24th November 1983. First of two children (sibling Amy Dewhurst
born 1987) Philip was raised in Accrington famous for the Accrington
pals of the first World War. He attended St Annes and St Joesephs RC
primary school and was a popular child amongst pupils and teachers. 'he
always had a joke and a cheeky grin to hand' Miss Anderton recalls.
Philip moved into Private education between the ages of 11 to 18 at
Queen Elizabeths Grammar School. These were Philips' formative years
and would shape his future. He took a keen interest in business affairs
and would join the young enterprise business scheme to further develop
his skills. Philip gained high grades for all his subjects and was
heading for a strong educational future at university. However whilst
studying his A-levels he met a Businessman who offered to employ him at
the end of his education. Philip soon opted for this opportunity rather
than years more educational study. The prospect of earning now was very
appealing to a 18 year old man fresh out of school. Soon Philip
discovered the business was short of cash. Not wanting to be out of
work he raised the capitol needed with the help of his father and
decided he could run the company and bought out his employer. Philip
changed the direction of the company by selling off the least
successful arm of the business and developing new markets. A longtime
film fanatic Philip decided to start investing, producing and possibly
making appearances as an extra in films. Outlaw was his first attempt.
It was a success and since then Philip immediately put into production
an independent espionage thriller named 'High Stakes' with his long
time friends and film producing partners Jonathan Oracz and Greg
Miller.
