J.K. Rowling‘s much-anticipated “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” West End play opened for previews on Monday and critics have flocked to the Palace Theatre London to see how this latest live installment stacks up to the famed Harry Potter films. Starring Jamie Parker (Harry), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione), Paul Thornley (Ron), Anthony Boyle (Scorpius), Sam Clemmett (Albus), Poppy Miller (Ginny), Alex Price (Draco) and Cherrelle Skeete (Rose), the play is set to officially open this Saturday. Theater-goers are handed badges reading “Keep the secrets” as they leave the show, which hints at the lengths the creators are going to keep spoilers under wraps. »

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Early Reactions Call It Spellbinding

If you're in London and a huge fan of Harry Potter, tonight is the night you've been waiting for. The very first preview performance of the highly-anticipated stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child debuted. The play won't officially open until July 30, but fans have been eagerly awaiting the eighth official story in the Harry Potter canon. Tonight we have the first early reactions, and, thankfully, they heeded J.K. Rowling's spoiler warning.

Earlier today, J.K. Rowling posted a YouTube video where she plead with fans to keep the secrets that will be unveiled in this story. Of course, we likely won't know for quite some time what these secrets are, but it seems that the fans are keeping true to their word, posting a number of glowing reactions on Twitter that doesn't spoil anything for those who weren't at tonight's debut performance. Draco Malfoy Is Back in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Photos

Over the past few days, we've gotten our first look at iconic Harry Potter characters as played by new actors in the upcoming stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, which the first audiences will get to see in previews starting June 7. Back in February, the full cast was announced, but aside from the main trio of Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley), it was never confirmed who the other cast members are playing, until these reveals started earlier this week. Today we have the third and final batch of photos and character reveals which feature Alex Price as Draco Malfoy and Anthony Boyle as his son Scorpius.

Pottermore continues revealing cast photos from the upcoming play "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I and II" with today being a first look at the now adult Draco Malfoy (Alex Price) and his son Scorpius (Anthony Boyle).

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling with Jack Thorne penning the script and John Tiffany directing, the play will receive its world premiere in London's West End at the Palace Theatre in late July following preview performances which begin next week. Effectively the eighth story in the series, this will also be the first official "Harry Potter" story to be presented on stage.

The stage production Harry Potter And The Cursed Child Parts One and Two has been drawing the kind of attention usually reserved for major Hollywood productions lately. The show, based on a story co-written by series creator J.K. Rowling, will tell the eighth story in the Harry Potter canon. 

In the last few days, we've been treated to our first official looks at how the characters will be represented in the play- which is set to premiere in London next month. There was the reveal of Harry, Ginny, and Albus Potter two days ago, then yesterday's unveiling of Ron, Hermione, and Rose Granger-Weasley. Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I & II by Jack Thorne is a play based on an original story by J.K. Rowling, Thorne and John Tiffany that follows Harry as an employee of the Ministry of Magic, husband and father of three kids, the second of whom, Albus, struggles with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted.

Will young Scorpius Malfoy be a friend or foe to Albus Severus Potter and Rose Granger-Weasley in "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child"? The lucky fans who get to see the play will find out, very soon.

Pottermore just shared the final first look photos to tease "Cursed Child," which starts previews June 7 in London. The story picks up 19 years after the main story of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," following the next generation at Hogwarts. Two days ago we got our first looks at Harry, Ginny, and their son Albus in character; yesterday, we saw the adult Ron and Hermione, with their daughter Rose. Today we have the new Draco Malfoy, played by Alex Price, with Anthony Boyle as his son, Scorpius Malfoy. (No wife/mom? What's that story?)

Just yesterday we brought you your first look at Ron and Hermoine in the upcoming Harry Potter and The Cursed Child, which hits the London stage from later this month, and today we can show you both Draco and Socrpius Malfoy from the show.

Yesterday, we gave you a first look at the adult Harry Potter (Jamie Parker), his wife Ginny Potter (Poppy Miller) and their son Albus Severus Potter (Sam Clement) in the highly-anticipated stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. Next week, fans in the U.K. will get to see a brand new Harry Potter story unfold when the stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens for previews on June 7, ahead of its first official performance on July 30. Actors Jamie Parker (Harry Potter), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger) and Paul Thornley (Ron Weasley) were cast in December, with the full cast announced in February, although it was never confirmed which characters the other actors are playing. People look forward to the summer months for many reasons, whether it be getting a break from school or the chance to see some of the biggest movies of the year. This particular summer, however, fans in the U.K. will get to experience a brand new Harry Potter story live on the London West End stage when Harry Potter and the Cursed Child opens for previews at the Palace Theatre in London on June 7, before its first official performance on July 30. While we await any further details about this long-awaited stage play, a new preview has surfaced that offers a behind-the-scenes look at the rehearsal process.

The video, which was posted at the official Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Facebook, features author J.K. Rowling visiting the rehearsals, and while we do see a number of actors practicing some sort of maneuvers with their wands, it's difficult to figure out what exactly is happening. »

Back in December, we reported that highly-anticipated London stage play Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has cast Jamie Parker as Harry Potter, Noma Dumezweni as Hermione Granger and Paul Thornley as Ron Weasley. We have't heard much about this production since then, but today, Pottermore has revealed the entire cast with the first photo, taken shortly before the first script read-through. Writers J.K. Rowling, Jack Thorne and John Tiffany joined the cast, creative team and producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for this photo.

Heather’s Favorite Doomed Romances from the 1980s

I love a heartwarming, feel-good romance story just as much as the next person, but sometimes, it’s those doomed cinematic relationships that tend to stick with you the most. One of the more interesting ill-fated couples I recently encountered was Rob (Cian Barry) and Holly (Abigail Hardingham) from Nina Forever. The new couple must endure the looming presence of Rob’s ex-girlfriend, Nina (Fiona O’Shaughnessy), who died recently in a car accident and happens to show up anytime they become intimate.

The pitch-black comedy touches on a lot of the complications that come with modern relationships and all the proverbial baggage we endure as a result of our previous romantic entanglements. It really struck me throughout the story just how well directors Ben and Chris Blaine perfectly explore those themes in Nina Forever, making me realize that some of my very favorite movie love affairs, particularly from the 1980s, »
