ESPN, Fox and a pair of quadrennial global athletic events were among the big winners as the 44th annual Sports Emmy Awards were handed out tonight during a ceremony at Jazz at Lincoln Center’s Rose Hall in Manhattan.
Among programs, Fox and FS1’s coverage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and NBC/USA’s Xxiv Winter Olympics tied with three Emmys apiece. ESPN and Fox led all network with nine trophies each, though the former beat with latter among network groups, 13 Emmys to nine.
