Jump Street Films partners with Cargo Entertainment

Australian film distributor Jump Street Films has partnered with Us-based screen conglomerate Cargo Entertainment.

The two companies will co-develop Australian content (financing, production, local distribution and world sales), while Jump Street will also exclusively distribute Cargo.s international slate in Australia.

Cargo acts as a production company, sales agency and packager of filmed entertainment.. The company, founded in 2011 by Marina Grasic, Jan Korbelin and Mark Lindsay, is also affiliate of the multi-platform production studio Curious Pictures.

Cargo.s head of acquisitions and co-productions, Krysanne Katsoolis, will oversee the Australian venture with Jump Street director Jamie Bialkower.

The first film to be distributed in Australia under the new partnership will be comedy The Angriest Man In Brooklyn, starring Robin Williams, Mila Kunis, James Earl Jones, Melissa Leo and Peter Dinklage.
