'Vampire Diaries': Torrey DeVitto talks Dr. Fell, enjoying husband Paul Wesley's turn as Bad Stefan

19 January 2012 11:56 AM, PST | EW - Inside TV | See recent - Inside TV news »

When Torrey DeVitto was cast on The Vampire Diaries, she thought it was just going to be a three-episode arc. But with her stay in Mystic Falls continuing — she’s shot more than a handful of episodes and is still filming — you might want to keep an eye on Dr. Meredith Fell.

Entertainment Weekly: Last week’s episode established that Dr. Fell is a member of a Founding Family and on the Council. So has she been in town for awhile and we just haven’t met her until now?

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 Episode 11: Sexual Frustration & Salvatore Badassery Heats Up

13 January 2012 8:38 AM, PST | | See recent news »

If you like the new dynamic of bad brother meets “badder” Salvatore brother on The Vampire Diaries, please raise your hand.

Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Stefan (Paul Wesley) have come a long way since their days of high school bickering over the same girl. Instead of chastising each other on the war on Klaus (Joseph Morgan), they are working together to find a way to take him down. They also – for the most part – approve of each other’s actions. Apparently, Klaus’ presence has made hell freeze over. And, that’s a good thing.

While Damon unsympathetically rips out the hearts of hybrids, Stefan is willing to massacre them at public parties. He’s also willing to put his friends’ (are they really “friends” still?) lives in danger. The transformation of Stefan to worse brother has made Tvd even more of a joy to watch and even more unpredictable.

"The Vampire Diaries" Recap Episode 311: “Be-heading and a Funeral”

13 January 2012 8:11 AM, PST | The Backlot | See recent The Backlot news »

Congratulations to Nina Dobrev! For her dual portrayal of Elena and Katherine, she just won the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Drama Actress, the first ever write-in candidate to make the ballot. If her series aired on a respectable network, she'd have an Emmy by now.

This week's episode picks up the morning after last week's. Damon finally shows some skin in the shower and then wrapped in a towel, talking with Stefan about playing Hide the Coffin with Bonnie at the burned out witch house (Bowh). Damon's supposed to be struggling not to let Stefan know he macked on Elena but Somerhalder's performance is all over the place. Intercut with this is Elena getting in some Slayer training with Alaric. Her kickpunching the heavy bag is the most unrealistic looking combat training since Ralph Macchio painted the fence. Alaric lets her know that Jeremy is packing for Denver »
