Exclusive Motion Comic Prequel - Humans Versus Zombies

6 May 2012 11:22 PM, PDT | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

Sometimes it starts with a twitch here, maybe a flutter there. It can happen both instantaneously or take its sweet time. No matter what, though, when the dead rise, things get brutal! In anticipation of the May 22nd Blu-ray and DVD release of Humans Versus Zombies, we now have an exclusive motion comic for you to dig on that starts at the beginning.

When the flick hits home video, this motion comic book prequel will play at the beginning of the film and in additional will be a key bonus feature in the DVD. The comic will also be available in a limited printed format, drawn by Russell Foxx (The Immortals), and will accompany the DVD as a collector's item.

The film was shot in Pittsburg, Texas, and stars Madison Burge ("Friday Night Lights"), Melissa Carnell (Boggy Creek, Savage County), Frederic Doss (Cut), and Chip Joslin.

Humans Versus Zombies and Two Broken Pieces: A Movie Review

16 April 2012 4:00 AM, PDT | 28 Days Later Analysis | See recent 28 Days Later Analysis news »

*here be spoilers.

Director: Brian T. Jaynes.

Writers: Brian T. Jaynes, and Devan Sagliani.

Cast: Dora Madison Burge, Melissa Carnell and Frederic Doss

Humans Versus Zombies is a film based on a role playing game played on college campuses. The game involves Nerf guns, marshmallows and zombies chasing survivors. Rumour has it that the survivors have never won. The film version of the game is written and directed by Brian T. Jaynes who is notorious to this reviewer for creating the abysmal and 28Dla Worst Film entry Boggy Creek. Jaynes seems to be making improvements in his photography here; however, his storytelling still lacks tension and the story for Humans Versus Zombies is uncompelling. Maybe viewers would be best off playing the game rather than watching the film.

The story is simple enough. Several college students play Humans Versus Zombies on their college campus. Then, after the H1N1 is released, »

The Infection Spreads in Brian Jaynes’ Patient Zero

17 February 2012 8:17 AM, PST | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

Brian Jaynes, the director of “Patient Zero”, is also the director of “Humans Versus Zombies”, a film that we reported on last year but I haven’t heard much from since. I think it’s played some film festivals, but according to Amazon.com, will be landing on DVD and Blu-ray on May 8th, 2012 from Hannover House. I really dug the trailers for that film, so I’m definitely looking forward to it. In any case, Jaynes apparently hasn’t gotten the whole zombie/infection kick out of his blood yet, because he’s already released the first teaser trailer for his latest, “Patient Zero”. Check it out below, zombie fans. Two young scientists are swept up in a government plot to suppress the truth about a biological disaster at a genetic research facility. Starring Amanda Phillips, Brandon Slagle, Natalie Wilemon, Jackey Hall, Frederic Doss, Carl Savering and Van Quattro. »

Brian T. Jaynes' Humans Versus Zombies Comes Home to DVD in May

20 January 2012 5:00 PM, PST | DreadCentral.com | See recent Dread Central news »

So which side will you be on? Me? I pick the zombies. As brain dead as they are, they still display and exercise more common sense than about 95% of the empowered idiots we have running this world into the ground.

Look for the flick in stores on May 8th.

The film was shot in Pittsburg, Texas, and stars Madison Burge ("Friday Night Lights"), Melissa Carnell (Boggy Creek, Savage County), Frederic Doss (Cut), and Chip Joslin.

The synopsis for Humans Versus Zombies, which director Brian T. Jaynes co-wrote with Devan Sagliani, follows:

Students on summer break are exposed to a deadly virus, a neuroinvasive organism that is spread rapidly through direct human contact. The infected are enslaved by the invading “swarm” intelligence and driven by an insatiable appetite to consume human flesh. Returning home, the students spread the infection to their fellow classmates and other unsuspecting townspeople. One by one, more »
