The behind-the-scenes drama with the women of Danity Kane was worse than we could have ever imagined. The girl group, which was formed by Diddy on "Making the Band" back in 2005, split a few short years later. They re-grouped last year, but fell apart again after a violent fight between Aubrey O'Day and Dawn Richard. Now, Aubrey is speaking out about the band's volatile past with Dawn. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, O'Day and fellow Dk alum Shannon Bex -- who now perform together as the duo Dumblonde -- revealed the tension spans years. "Y’all wanna know straight up? I can fly it back six years ago to the first time I really figured out what it was," Aubrey said before revealing how she first learned of Richard's "manipulation." She said the women were all in studio with Diddy, who told them each to get on their...

“I have a lot of different types of music on my iPod.” That’s my go-to response when people ask for my favorite band, clearly trying to learn something about me by the fact that I like Jason Mraz or that one Mystikal song. That sentence is how I avoid judgment. But it’s also true.

It's a year for reunions at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. Girl group Danity Kane is hopping on the trend and will stage a reunion performance at the event. They join -- probably -- boy band 'N Sync in the reunion fever.
Formed by Sean "Diddy" Combs in 2005 as part of MTV's "Making the Band" Season 3, Danity Kane followed up with two hit albums and three Billboard Top 10 hits: "Show Stopper," "Ride for You" and "Damaged." The group was originally made up of five women, Aubrey O'Day, Shannon Bex, Dawn Richard, Aundrea Fimbres and Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgett. O'Day and Woodgett were out of the group by 2008, and the remaining members disbanded in 2009.
Now they're back. Four members of Danity Kane -- O'Day, Bex, Richard and Fimbres -- announced via Instagram that the group had reformed:

Danity Kane was one of the top acts of the 2000s, becoming the first girl group in history to debut their first two albums at the top of the Billboard charts.Issues with management at P. Diddy's Bad Boy Entertainment and infighting created tension among its five members. In a now infamous meeting (televised on "Making the Band"), Diddy fired Aubrey O'Day and D. Woods. Shannon Bex and Aundrea Fimbres were later released from their contracts, which spelled the end of Danity Kane. The only remaining member, Dawn Richard, went onto Diddy-Dirty Money, but that group disbanded, too. Danity Kane, the girl group founded via "Making the Band 3," is reuniting for a comeback -- without manager Sean "Diddy" Combs, who helped make them and then break them.

Since her exit, the always-buzzy Ms. O’Day, 26, has been doing acting and singing gigs here and there, but it seems she was really just killing time until she could get back to where she feels most at home: in front of the reality TV cameras. Her new docu-series, All About Aubrey — which will mostly chronicle her attempts...

Rap mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs has scored an odd double at the top of the U.S. albums chart by replacing one band he created with another.
Day26, who won Diddy's most recent Making The Band reality contest, have toppled the rapper's manufactured all-girl group Danity Kane to claim the number one spot on the Billboard 200.
Day26's self-titled debut claimed the top spot with 190,000 album sales; Danity Kane's Welcome To The Dollhouse slides to four on the new countdown.
Meanwhile, Panic At The Disco's Pretty. Odd. debuts at two and rock veterans Counting Crows enter the chart at three with their first album in six years, Saturday Nights + Sunday Mornings.
