“Awkward” Creator Lauren Iungerich Has a New Comedy Series in the Works at Netflix

“On My Block”

Awkward” creator Lauren Iungerich is set to deliver another coming-of-age comedy. Deadline reports that Netflix has ordered 10 episodes of a new half-hour series she co-created titled “On My Block.” She’s collaborating on the project with “All Eyez On Me” screenwriters Eddie Gonzalez and Jeremy Haft.

Scheduled to debut in 2018, “On My Block” follows “four bright and street-savvy friends navigating their way through the triumph, pain, and the newness of high-school set in the rough inner city.” The cast includes Jessica Marie Garcia (“Liv and Maddie”), Diego Tinoco (“Teen Wolf”), and Jason Genao (“The Get Down”).

Awkward” starred Ashley Rickards as Jenna Hamilton, an unpopular teen whose life changes overnight when she’s mistakenly thought to have attempted suicide. The fallout of the misunderstanding is, as the show’s title suggests, awkward. Iungerich exited the series following the completion of its third season, but it aired for five seasons on MTV,

Movie Review – The Outcasts (2017)

The Outcasts, 2017.

Directed by Peter Hutchings.

Starring Eden Sher, Victoria Justice, Ashley Rickards, Katie Chang, Jazmyn Richardson, Peyton List, Claudia Lee, Avan Jogia.

Synopsis:

Two high school girls, tired of being bullied by the popular kids, set out to unite opposing factions of outsiders at their school in hopes of realigning the social pecking order.

The Outcasts, the new teen comedy from director Peter Hutchings, is a wildly entertaining surprise. While the film itself at first comes across as a rather stereotypical, low-budget Mean Girls rip-off, it blossoms into an incredibly funny, occasionally touching, and very well acted piece of entertainment.

The story follows two nerdy best friends as they try to navigate their final year of high school. Science-y Mindy (an outstanding Eden Sher, of television’s The Middle) and music nut Jodi (Victoria Justice of the recent Rocky Horror remake) decide to end their struggles by approaching Queen

Jesse Quick Finally Suits Up In First Images From Next Week’s Episode Of The Flash

See Full Gallery Here

The CW has released a gallery of images from next week’s episode of The Flash, and in them we get to see a lot of very interesting reveals. The most significant has to be our first look at Jesse Wells suited up as Jesse Quick, a speedster from the comic books who, in the TV show, hails from Earth-2 and is the daughter of Harrison Wells.

Your eyes aren’t deceiving you though; Jesse is indeed wearing a slightly modified version of the costume worn by Trajectory when that villain appeared in The Flash season 2.

The next big reveal is the return of Captain Cold. The fan-favourite villain was killed off in the season 1 finale of Legends of Tomorrow, so how exactly is he alive and well here? Chances are it has something to do with Barry Allen’s recent trip back in time, as

The Flash: Captain Cold Returns In Next Week’s Episode, The World Still Wonders How

Disclaimer: This article has spoilers for Legends of Tomorrow Season 1

A part of me was a bit disappointed when Wentworth Miller’s Leonard Snart (a.k.a. Captain Cold) left The Flash to pursue his own ambitions in the Arrow-verse offshoot Legends of Tomorrow. It took a while, but not only did I grow accustomed to Miller’s campy portrayal of the fan favorite Rogues villain, he quickly became one of my favorite parts of the show.

His portrayal only got better as Legends of Tomorrow progressed. No, the show wasn’t the strongest (I think it leans a bit to far in the direction of camp for my taste), but I appreciated the development they gave for both Snart and Rory for the season, and was frustrated when the series decided to kill him off in a blaze of glory ("There are no strings on me.").

In my mind,

The Flash Photos: Jesse Quick Suits Up In An Old Look

  • TVfanatic
I'm not going to lie. I cannot get over the fact Jesse Quick is suiting up in an old look.

How fulfilling can it be to wear a costume as a hero when the last time you saw it, it was being worn by a villain? It just feels wrong to me.

Nonetheless, that's what we have on The Flash Season 3 Episode 4, as well as a couple new Rogues and the return of Captain Cold, someone we haven't seen in a very long time.

Check out the photos, speculate what will go down and watch The Flash online if you want to catch up!

Meet “The New Rogues” In This Extended Trailer For The Flash

It comes as no surprise that The Flash continues to astonish in what has so far been a thoroughly entertaining third season. And, if this newly released extended trailer for next week’s episode, “The New Rogues,” properly reflects how awesome that offering may be, then it’s probably safe to say the trend will continue.

A major draw in this particular episode comes in the form of Mirror Master making his long awaited debut. You see, he happens to be one of the quintessential Flash villains from the comic books, so it comes as somewhat of a surprise the producers have waited this long to incorporate him. But, then again, it’s also reassuring to know that not every resource was jammed into the first season or two and there’s still much to be tapped as the series races toward a prosperous future.
