Solo: A Star Wars Story runtime reportedly revealed

It seems that the runtime for Solo: A Star Wars Story has been revealed.

While fans are recovering from the divisive Star Wars: The Last Jedi, a film which has just picked up four Oscar nominations, attention is starting to turn to Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The anthology movie is only four months away from release and while there is as yet no trailer for the movie (rumoured to be arriving shortly), we have had an official synopsis released in recent days, and now we have news of the film’s runtime.

When researching the film on Google, the search engine lists Solo’s runtime as 2hrs 23mins. It’s unclear at this point where Google is sourcing this information from, however.

The 143 minute reported runtime is shorter in length than 2017s The Last Jedi (150 mins) but longer than Rogue One’s 133 mins. Solo would also be longer than

Solo: A Star Wars Story Runtime Reportedly Revealed

When can we expect to get our first look at Solo: A Star Wars Story? That’s the question on many fans’ minds right now as the film is only about four months away and we’ve still seen nothing from it. Aside from the fact that that’s hugely concerning, it’s also just plain strange as this is a major release for Disney, with a lot riding on it. Granted, rumor has it that the first trailer might be here this Wednesday, but the studio hasn’t announced anything just yet and all we can really do right now is wait.

And so, as we continue to do just that, some new intel has surfaced today which points to Solo‘s runtime. According to Google, the film will clock in at 2 hours and 23 minutes. It’s unclear where exactly the search engine got their info from, or how up to date it is,

In fact, if a new report is to be believed, it could be here as soon as Wednesday, meaning we haven’t got long before we get to clock eyes on Alden Ehrenreich as the galaxy’s greatest smuggler.

Flanked by Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover as the ice-cool Lando Calrissian, Ehrenreich has been tasked with delivering a younger version of Han Solo, arguably one of the greatest Star Wars characters of all time – no pressure, then. And let’s face it, part of Solo’s charm was that his backstory largely remained under wraps throughout Lucasfilm’s original trilogy,

First Han Solo Movie Footage Screens, So How Was It?

Fans lucky enough to be in attendance at a German Disney event were treated to an Electronic Press Kit for Ron Howard's Han Solo movie with the very first footage ever shown. Lucasfilm has been even more tight-lipped about the upcoming movie, allowing The Last Jedi to run its theatrical course. However, now that footage has been shown, a teaser or trailer is more than likely really close to being released. Star Wars fans have been skeptical of the movie, but one lucky fan in attendance has shared an enthusiastic review of the footage.

Filmmaker Holger Frick took to Facebook to share his thoughts on the first public showing of footage from Solo: A Star Wars story. Star Wars: Solo - where’s all the marketing?

Ryan Lambie Jan 18, 2018

It’s little more than four months from its release, yet still no trailer. We look at the timeline for Solo's subdued marketing...

It was less than a year ago that the first official cast image emerged. There was lead actor Alden Ehrenreich, dominating the scene inside the Millennium Falcon’s cockpit. Crowded around him were his fellow actors Woody Harrelson, Donald Glover and Emilia Clarke; along for the ride were the director duo Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, then hot off such films as 21 Jump Street and The Lego Movie.

First ‘Solo’ Plot Synopsis Teases Han’s Adventure

Disney/Lucasfilm have finally released the first official ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story‘ plot synopsis, and it’s only a little over four months until it’s release. We have yet to see even an official image from ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story‘, but we already know that the film has had quite the rough path to the big screen. In essence, original directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller departed the project with only three weeks of shooting left (you can watch me talking about what happened here).

Almost immediately, Lucasfilm hired Ron Howard to replace the duo and re-shoot some of the footage they had previously shot. It was a this point–with roughly 10 months until it’s intended release date of May 25, 2018–that pretty much everyone expected the film to be pushed to december of this year, but alas, that never happened. Then, what seemed to be a small amount of reshoots,

Here’s Why The Solo: A Star Wars Story Trailer Has Been Delayed

Maybe it’s almost time to punch it, after all?

Amid rumors that Disney and Lucasfilm had earmarked Solo: A Star Wars Story‘s first trailer for mid-January, reports are now pointing to a debut next month instead, meaning we haven’t got long before we get to clock eyes on Alden Ehrenreich as the galaxy’s greatest smuggler.

Flanked by Emilia Clarke and Donald Glover as the ice-cool Lando Calrissian, Ehrenreich has been tasked with delivering a younger version of Han Solo, arguably one of the greatest Star Wars characters of all time – no pressure, then. And let’s face it, part of Solo’s charm was that his backstory largely remained under wraps throughout Lucasfilm’s original trilogy, so we can’t help but fear that Howard and Co. are at risk of ruining – or at the very least tarnishing – that sense of mystery.

Solo: A Star Wars Story Synopsis Teases A Dark And Dangerous Adventure

Now that Star Wars: The Last Jedi is moving into the rearview mirror, Disney and Lucasfilm are at last pushing the promotional campaign for Solo: A Star Wars Story into gear. The upcoming prequel starring Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo has been kept tightly under wraps so far, with only the odd set photo posted on director Ron Howard’s social media giving us any clue as to the nature of the movie.

But that’s about to change, as the first official synopsis for Solo has now dropped. The short outline keeps things pretty vague, of course, but teases the scruffy-looking nerf herder encountering some other iconic characters from the Star Wars franchise.

Board the Millennium Falcon and journey to a galaxy far, far away in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” an all-new adventure with the most beloved scoundrel in the galaxy. Through a series of daring escapades deep

Phoebe Waller-Bridge talks Solo: A Star Wars Story director switch-up

As we patiently await the first trailer for Solo: A Star Wars Story, actress Phoebe Waller-Bridge has become the latest cast member to weigh in with her thoughts on the big director switch-up, which saw Ron Howard coming in to complete the movie after Lucasfilm fired Phil Lord and Chris Miller due to creative differences.

Speaking to IGN, the Fleabag star – who is set to portray the droid character Dd-bd – shared her excitement over getting to work with Howard, as well as claiming that Lord and Miller’s influence will still be felt in the final film.

“The handover there was done with such warmth and generosity from everybody, and Ron’s just a master at his craft; he’s going to make a beautiful film out of it. You just really trust him and it was just really exciting to work with him. I mean, it would’ve been

Fox Moves ‘Deadpool 2’ Forward Two Weeks, Pushes Back ‘New Mutants’ and ‘Gambit’

Fox Moves ‘Deadpool 2’ Forward Two Weeks, Pushes Back ‘New Mutants’ and ‘Gambit’
Fox has moved the release of Ryan Reynolds’ “Deadpool 2” forward by two weeks to May 18, when it will open a week ahead of Disney-Lucasfilm’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story.”

The action-comedy sequel will open against against Sony’s horror film “Slender Man.” Fox’s move leaves the June 1 date without a film opening.

The move comes less than a month after Disney agreed to buy Fox’s entertainment assets, including the movie studio. “Solo” stars Alden Ehrenreich in an origin story that’s been directed first by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, who were replaced last summer by Ron Howard.

Fox also announced Thursday that it’s moving its X-Men movie “New Mutants” back by 10 months from April 13 to Feb. 22, 2019. “Mutants” stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Maisie Williams, and Charlie Heaton,

Solo: A Star Wars Story reportedly scheduled for more reshoots

According to an unconfirmed claim, Solo: A Star Wars Story will be undergoing more reshoots in January.

The production issues that have plagued the Han Solo spin off movie are well known at this point, particularly how Ron Howard came in late in the day to replace the film’s original directors, reportedly reshooting much of the film in the process.

The film is set for release this May and while fans are awaiting news of a trailer, a Reddit user (named Hufflepuffins) who has a history of correct reports regarding Solo, has posted that more reshoots are scheduled for the end of January.

While this might sound worrying (if true) on the surface of things, reshoots at this stage aren’t all that uncommon, with the process allowing directors to get some extra shots they need before locking the film down.

So it would seem that a set of
