Jason Benjamin products
Jason Benjamin grew up in the Cumberland Mountains of East Tennessee. His youth was spent participating in competitive sports like baseball, football, and Karate. When he was 13, his grandfather took him to see the musical Hello Dolly. He was immediately captivated by what he saw on stage. It was during his junior year of high school that he first took the stage himself, appearing in various school theater productions.
Jason joined the Navy during his senior year of high school. He was honorably discharged from active duty in 1991 after serving his four year commitment. Returning to Tennessee, he spent the next seven years as a police officer. Much of that time was spent working as an undercover narcotics officer and member of the SWAT team. In 1998, Jason switched over to the fire department. Over the last two and a half decades, Jason has traveled the world participating in sports like scuba diving, backpacking, rappelling, rock climbing, and kayaking. He had a promising career as a professional wrestler during the 90's until he shattered his leg while practicing for an upcoming match.
With over 23 years of combined military and emergency services experience coupled with his background in Karate, boxing and professional wrestling, Jason has worked as an actor, stuntman, fight choreographer, producer and technical advisor for Police, Fire, EMS, and Military tactics for the stage and silver screen.

I have always been the type that would try anything if it interested me. As a result, I have been a lot of places and done a lot of different things. If I were to make a list of all the things I've done in my life, you would think I was making it up.
(On how being a pro wrestler helped him as an actor) Actually, I have been acting since I was about 16 years old. That was one of the reasons that I did so well in the wrestling business. However, the skills I learned as a wrestler have helped me get many jobs choreographing fight scenes for movies and plays all across the U.S.
I believe in Karma. Whatever you do will always come back to you.
