VH1 Goes ‘Behind The Tweet’ In Ridiculous Mockumentary Web Series

12 February 2015 3:43 PM, PST | Tubefilter.com | See recent Tubefilter News news »

Twitter, as it turns out, is not just a place where quipsters replace movie titles with goats. It's also home to some shocking revelations. This is what we learn from Behind the Tweet, a ridiculous new VH1 web series that provides the stories behind celebrity tweets.

As its title suggests, Behind the Tweet is based off Behind the Music, which offers an in-depth look at the careers of famous musicians. Behind the Music's formula has sustained itself for more than 200 episodes, and as Behind the Tweet shows, it works for satire, too.

In each Behind the Tweet minisode, celebrities, commentators, and a deep-voiced narrator deliver overly serious remarks about silly tweets. The result is a wacky web series that provides a fair number of laughs. Want to know how a Key and Peele sketch launched some charged race relations on Twitter? Behind the Tweet has the (mock) answer.

Chop, Chop!  Nicole Kidman just said goodbye to her long locks in favor of a blunt edgy bob!   The "Paddington" star showed off the shorter 'do while attending a press conference for "Queen of the Desert" during the Berlin Film Festival.   The actress, who was sporting super long hair only a few days ago (right), looks like she cut about a foot off to achieve her new asymmetrical lob!   We are absolutely loving the length on the 47-year-old. It's super chic and frames her face perfectly!  The Australian beauty has changed up her look a lot over the years. She's switched up her shade from red to blonde multiple times, and even played around with the texture, going from her naturally curly mane to sleek tresses.   Nicole is just the latest celeb to snip off her long hair in favor of the shorter hair trend.  Brooklyn Decker recently got bobbed »

Chop, chop! And the celeb du jour to get a bob is… Brooklyn Decker! Now that's a lot of mane, people! Brooklyn took to Instagram to debut her shorter-than-ever new do, rocking a tousled side swept style with volume galore. Film Feature: Preview of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival

18 January 2015 8:06 PM, PST | HollywoodChicago.com | See recent HollywoodChicago.com news »

Chicago – This Thursday marks the beginning of the 2015 Sundance Film Festival, and yours truly will be in attendance to cover the fest for HollywoodChicago.com. Last year, the Park City, Utah event introduced the world to its 2014-defining sensations like “Whiplash” and “Boyhood”.

Those titles followed in the paths of indie landmarks such as “sex, lies and videotape,” “Clerks,” “Hoop Dreams,” “American Movie,” “Memento,” “Frozen River,” “Winter’s Bone,” and “Fruitvale Station,” among many others.

In pursuit of new favorite films for a new year, I’ve composed a relatively solid schedule so that I can devour as much diverse Sundance goodness as possible. Narratives, documentaries, white supremacists, nasty babies, Neil Hamburger, Chiwetel Ejiofor, stolen cop cars, and much, much more are all in play. But with hopes that everything I witness is the next “Boyhood”-like zeitgeist, I’ll be sure to report back here on what’s worth, »

Dick Poop Is the Oscar Nominee You Never Knew You Loved

15 January 2015 9:35 AM, PST | VH1.com | See recent VH1.com news »

Forget about Adele Dazeem, this year’s Oscar buzz is all about Dick Poop. During this morning’s nominations announcement, Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs flubbed when listing Mr. Turner cinematographer Dick Pope as a contender. It was certainly a defining moment in Pope’s career.

Considering thousands of Twitter users now know him as “Dick Poop,” should Pope change his name?

I’m just happy The Academy is finally giving Dickpoop the recognition it deserves.
