Image Source: Getty / Kevin Mazur Leave it to Lin-Manuel Miranda to turn Hollywood into a real-life musical. The former Hamilton star is currently spreading the love (and rhythm) by teaming up with Prizeo in honor of Immigration Heritage Month to benefit the Immigrants: We Get the Job Done Coalition. The star has asked his fans to donate $10 to the organization and record themselves singing any Hamilton track for a chance to win two tickets to the La opening night of the hit play, as well as airfare, accommodations, and a hang-out session with Lin-Manuel himself. The challenge quickly inspired some of Hollywood's biggest stars to get in on the fun (without actually taking home the final prize), and it has already become a viral craze. Everyone from Kelly Clarkson to Eva Longoria to the Harlem Globetrotters shared their videos, and we love it all so very much. RelatedHugh Jackman Brings »

For folks like me, DuckTales played a big part in your childhood. Between the comedy and mix of high adventure, it helped to scratch a very specific itch on TV shows that not a lot of animated series did back then. However, as great as iconic I found the series to be, perhaps what it’s best known for is its catchy opening theme. As someone who watched the show, catching that opening them was an integral part of the actual experience of watching the show (very much how the opening of an anime is an integral part of the show itself).
If for some reason, you don’t remember that opening (or if you've never seen it), take a look:
For as long as we’ve known that Disney Xd would be reviving DuckTales for a modern audience, we’ve been wondering how they’d handle the opening theme. »

Fans have been looking forward to the upcoming DuckTales for months now. As a series that shaped many a childhood in the early ‘90s, it was always bound to face a little bit of pressure. Plus, given the aesthetic makeover it was getting, there was no telling how receptive older audiences would be, or if it would be unique enough to appeal to its main target demographic (kids). But they seemed to be making all the right steps. They’ve put the focus on high adventure, the relationships between Scrooge and the kids, and all that comes with it.
Additionally, Disney Xd made sure to lock down a good cast that consisted of David Tennant, Ben Schwartz, Bobby Moynihan, and Kate Micucci. This latest casting news comes as a bit of a surprise. Fans of the original will remember the character Fenton Crackshell, an accountant who moonlit as the superhero Gizmoduck. »

Living in today’s pop culture-saturated world is a double-edged sword. On the plus side, there’s pretty much a guarantee that everyone will find something that clicks with them. The downside, of course, is that studios often need to resort to resurrecting dead or dormant franchises in hopes of pressing that nostalgia button for audiences. Oftentimes, audiences are jaded and annoyed by such moves, but every so often, you get a circumstance where they actually welcome this with open arms. This seems to be the case for DuckTales.
If you didn’t have the privilege of growing up the original series, I’ll give you a quick rundown. It was an animated show that ran on Disney channel in the early ‘90s that followed Scrooge McDuck and his great nephews in their globetrotting adventures. The series was a great mix of comedy, commentary, and high adventure in the vein of Indiana Jones. »
