Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis: President Barack Obama from President Barack Obama President Barack Obama made a stop by Zach Galifianakis's awkward, uncomfortable, and hilarious web show, Between Two Ferns, and the results were glorious. Zach, never one to shy away from tough questions, grilled the president on the situation in "North Ikea" and other big topics, while Obama responded by getting in digs about The Hangover Part III, praising Michelle Obama, and, apparently, revealing his man crush on Bradley Cooper. (We guess that explains why Bradley was invited to that State Dinner at the White House last month.) Watch the video above to see Obama's full appearance on Zach's show, and prepare yourself for the twist ending! »

Harvey Weinstein revealed on Saturday that he wasn't sure how he felt about Barack and Michelle Obama when Hillary Clinton -- a longtime friend -- was defeated by Obama in the Democratic primary. "I strongly support Hillary. When she lost, Michelle invited me back in ... but I thought I was going to sit that one out," Weinstein said during his keynote speech at the 38th annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium, hosted by the UCLA School of Law. "But they [the Obamas] are definitely idealists and care deeply about this country. I was very impressed by them. And the first lady is beyond

President Barack Obama lost a little respect — or, “rspect” — from the Internet community, when he misspelled the title/chorus of classic Aretha Franklin song during a White House “Women of Soul” event on Thursday. “When Aretha first told us what ‘R-s-p-e-c-t’ meant to her, she had no idea it would become a rallying cry for African-Americans and women,” Obama read, stumbling over the spelling and omitting vowel No. 1. See video: Michelle Obama Grilled About Jimmy Fallon Skit on NBC's ‘Today’ The crowd erupted in laughter at the mistake; Obama did not react at all. The President continued his remarks before introducing. »

Eight years ago, when a spurned suitor threw acid on her face, Laxmi thought her life was over. Finding love and achieving her dream of a career in television seemed impossible. But on March 4, honored by First Lady Michelle Obama with the International Women of Courage Award, Laxmi talked about her struggle - and triumph. Referring to the man who attacked her when she was 16 after she refused his advances - he was jailed for what he did but apparently his sentence will soon be up - she read a poem she composed: "You haven't thrown acid on my face, »

CBS News has named veteran Bill Whitaker a 60 Minutes correspondent, it was announced today by Jeff Fager, the executive producer of the newsmag and the chairman of CBS News. Whitaker, who has been based in Los Angeles, will move to the New York area and begin appearing in the fall on the CBS newsmagazine, which is America’s most-watched news program. The newsmag got nicked in its reputation when Lara Logan took a leave in the wake of the program’s since-discredited story on the Benghazi attacks. Whitaker has covered virtually all of the major news stories in the West since he was posted to Los Angeles in 1992, reporting regularly for the CBS Evening News and other CBS News broadcasts. He also has worked for CBS News’s Sunday Morning turning out feature stories and profiles, including ones on Barbra Streisand, Norman Lear, Gladys Knight, and Mike Tyson. He has »

Having not seen “The Trip to Bountiful” since Geraldine Page won an Oscar for it in the 1980s, a first thought is how oddly similar to “Nebraska” it is — as well as how unusual it feels in this day and age to see a project built around an octogenarian protagonist. Still, when the star is Cicely Tyson, networks occasionally make exceptions, and the allure of seeing this version of the stage revival with a predominantly African-American cast is too good to resist, particularly after Lifetime employed the same formula to fine effect on “Steel Magnolias.”
Though the Horton Foote’s original “Bountiful” was written initially for TV, the main problem with the play-turned-movie, for 21st-century TV purposes, is how little actually happens. And while the screen offers an opportunity to open things up a bit, that doesn’t alter the languid pacing or melancholy tone, hinging on an old woman »

No one gives a better gift than Amy Poehler's Leslie Knope on Parks and Recreation. Trying to top her is just downright impossible as she once again proved on the show's most recent episode, "Anniversaries," in which she surprised husband Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) with a scale model replica of the Iron Throne from Game of Thrones. Adorable super nerd that he is, Ben goes into full freak-out mode, and now you can check out a deleted, extended cut of him losing it.
Scott nails every overzealous motion and emotion, »
We can probably all agree that seeing Michelle Obama on Jimmy Fallon's "Ew!" sketch with Will Ferrell was one of the best things ever. Right? Right. Along with bringing the funny, Flotus just seemed like such a natural when it came to ew-ing things, and that's because she had her fair share of saying "ew" to some specific dinner options when she was younger. Like what, you ask? "Brussel sprouts. Uh, liver," Obama began to tell Rachael Ray (airing March 5). "Liver was a dark day in our household. It was dark…We were angry." Liver: Ew! Unless you actually enjoy eating liver—like Ray, who said she "grooved on liver"— then it would »
In "Anniversaries," Parks and Recreation gave viewers the Game of Thrones "crossover" they've been waiting for: Ben Wyatt (Adam Scott) on the Iron Throne. Well, we have a Monday treat for you: the deleted portions of that epic scene. The video below features Ben Wyatt having a Major geek-out over his anniversary gift from Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler). We can't emphasize major enough. Leslie gives more details on how she got the replica of the Iron Throne, but can't seem to get a handle on where Game of Thrones starts and Star Trek and Star Wars begin. Live, from Lake Michigan, it's Swimmy Fallon! It was a frigid Oscar morning for Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon who answered a challenge from Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel to take a dip in Lake Michigan to benefit the city's Special Olympics. Fallon, 39, had asked Emanuel to join him as a guest on his new NBC show, but the steely mayor, a former White House chief of staff and friend of President Barack Obama, threw down the gauntlet and agreed - only if the comedian would participate in the annual "Polar Plunge," the Chicago Tribune reported. Reporters Who Cover Politics today pored over thousands of formerly withheld documents from the Clinton White House released from the National Archives. With Hillary Clinton already an official presumed presidential candidate in 2016, as NBC and CNN learned the hard way, the reporters are keeping a sharp eye out for anything Hillary-related — including a 1995 suggestion by her then-press secretary that the First Lady guest star on an episode of ABC’s Home Improvement, found by New York magazine: Little did they know that another First Lady would make a sitcom appearance less than 20 years later. That’s right — Fallon vs. Lebron, sinking wads of paper from the three-point line. “Basketball is my favorite sport, but not the kind of basketball that’s on the court,” Fallon rapped. “I’m talking ’bout the b-ball that you play in the office…Lean back, take a shot, put it in the can, your co-workers saw it, now you’re the man!” Also read: Michelle Obama Hilariously ‘Hand Hugs’ Jimmy Fallon And Will Ferrell in ‘Ew! »

They still make great running mates. President Obama and Vice President Biden work up a (little) sweat without having to leave the office - by jogging around the White House - in this cute video for First Lady Michelle Obama's "Let's Move!" initiative. "Mr. President, are you ready to move?" Biden asks as he arrives in the Oval Office. "Absolutely. Let's do this thing. Let's move!" Obama replies. Apparently there's no time to change into workout gear, as the pair cruise around the White House in their dress shirts, ties and slacks - much to the bafflement of the White House dogs, »

Look out, Pawnee! Flotus is coming to town. Michelle Obama will make a cameo appearance on the hour-long season finale of Parks and Recreation, NBC announced Thursday. Vice President Joe Biden guest starred on the show last season, causing Amy Poehler's character Leslie Knope to have a serious fan-girl moment. The White House clearly has a friendly relationship with the show - Poehler almost sat on Biden's lap Monday when the pair appeared on the premiere of Late Night with Seth Meyers together.
